Just a quick update .....
Got the main u/c on but I've not cemented the bogie parts (E13 and F3) onto the legs yet so I can get the angle correct and have all the wheels in contact with the ground.

Looking good Andy. In fact a bit Sci-Fi without the nose.

Primed and then discovered the fuselage seam was showing so a bit of filler and sanding solved that . Re primed then noticed the canopy area needed a bit of attention so Ill re prime later :pop:

Off work so more time for the review builds :yipee:

I sprayed Revell 371 for the grey underside and then when that had dried and after a quick rub down with Micromesh I gave the uppers several light coats of Vallejo Air Gloss White gradually building the colour up until I was happy . Same applied for the nose and the canards .

I will leave to cure overnight and then Ill Klear it for protection.

Decals done and were excellent to work with. No decal solution was needed.
Just a few details to add , a final cote of Klear and then Satin varnish.
Im in two minds whether to add a panel wash ....looks good as it is :hmm:

Looks fantastic.
FWIW I think commercial airliners look better without the wash.

I thought about a wash on my Airfix Concorde but skipped it in the end. I think it looks fine without, great work Andy.

Conclusion

In short ....a very good kit !
A little confusion over the designation ( the box art is a S not a D ) but a bit of searching on the web for the correct engine to serial designation is all that is needed.
During the build the only problem encountered was the large gap at the rear fuselage to wing join but this was soon rectified with gap filling ,thick CA glue.
I cant fault the decals....they are simply some of the best Ive ever used.
A super kit and this will look smart parked next to a kit of Concorde.
Thoroughly recommended.

Many thanks to Revell for the review sample.

A great result mate. :like:

You're right, I need to find a 1/144 Concorde now. Anybody got any views on this? Airfix or Revell?

Revell one is very nice and you can have the nose up or down . Decals are the Landor scheme .
I think the Airfix one is more basic and the nose section is integral to each fuselage half and is in the down position.
The Revell one was my second build when I came back into modelling .....lovely kit .
