Managed to start this this weekend as well. Just a little paint on the runners for the moment.

Been pottering with a bit painting here and there over recent weeks, last night decided to start this in earnist to try and get it finished by the 15th.

Construction starts with a few internal components in the cockpit.
Posted Image

Then the rear engine and bulkhead are put together and the fuselage halves are joined.
Posted Image

Fabrication of the cockpit internals starts in earnest next.
Posted Image

This assembly is then attached to the lower wing spars.
Posted Image

And this is then inserted into the fuselage.
Posted Image

Some additional pipework and frames are inserted (very fiddly)
Posted Image

attention then moves onto the instrument panel and various dials and decals applied for the instruments.
Posted Image

Posted Image

The upper fuselage is then fixed, first fit problem the top section is marginally wider than the two halves and will require a little trimming to avaoid a step on the port side.

Thats it so far. ;)

Thanks guys, this is a build that has produced some irrational trepidation with regard to the rigging, however that's still to be tackled but I have drilled some holes in preparation for it.

Hu94 being used on the underside, another enamel which brushes rather opaque, in this photo the fuselage/lower wing has had two coats, the upper wing only one. I have given them a coat of Clear to try and help coverage.

Mixed a light tan colour as close as I could get it to the Revell suggestion and first coats of the lighter green applied.

Don't expect accuracy when it comes to the colours, they will be a close approximation.

WW1 fighters seem to have some very eye-catching colour schemes ...I can see why they are popular

Looking good John! As far as approximate colour goes, that what I always go with on my WWI builds. Your colours look fine so far.

Lol.

Camo finished on this as well, gloss coat required in order to get the fuselage decals on prior to starting rigging.

Cheers, the struts are quite delicate and the wing suitable thin, so a bit concerned about rigging it.
