Here is the latest boxing of Revell's excellent F-15E.

Posted Image

As is usual when I build a kit with an open ending box. Tape the sides and cut off the bottom. :)
Posted Image

Intakes interiors painted prior to assembly.

The cockpit and IP's are lighter than they appear in this picture.
Posted Image

As this is an out-of-the box review I will be using the kit supplied IP decals.
Posted Image

And here they are applied using Micro Set & Sol.

The Sol & Set have just been applied in the picture. I'll post a picture showing how/if they settle down.

Intake glued together and put in place.

And very soon after starting I am at this stage already.

Quite a decent fit on all parts, so far.

Wings are fairly straight-forward.
There is a lower piece to attach to the upper fuselage section followed by an end piece to give you the F-15's distinctive curve at the wing tip.
Posted Image

And very quickly you get to this stage.

The fit so far has been very good with little need for filler yet other than to finish off seams.
Tomorrow I'll be attaching the CFT's, u/c and any other bits I have time for.

Trying to decide what load to put on.
GBU-15's or 10's.
Or can I use both?

They are both versions of the trusty Mk84 dumb bomb.... the GBU15 is the "Glide bomb" ...whereas the GBU-10 is the LGB PII version.
(just read WIKI ....seems the GBU 15 is more a stand off weapon ..."fire and forget" , whereas the 10 has to be laser guided )

I would use the Mil Mi 24 killer ....the GBU-10 :thumb:

Very unusual...asymmetrical loads are very common these days it seems .

More temptation, even though grey jets are not really my thing. Memories of the last ever air show at Wethersfield, must have been 1986 or '87.
