Was looking at the stash earlier and I've been planning to make early USAF jets (even started some but that's another story). So I think my first build for this GB will be the Revell F-84G Thunderjet in 1:48 - 04534.

John try out Revell Aqua 91 or Vallejo Chrome ( I did the Airfix 1/48 Gnat in Chrome) ......they brush very well ....oh and theres the Citadel/Gamesworkshop colours ....Mithrill silver and Chainmail for a bit of panel difference :thumb:

The Citadel paint is now sold as 'Runefang Steel'. Not tried out any of the new ones, but Mithril Silver was a go to for silver finishes.

Thanks for the heads up.

Opened the box this morning.

Instructions quote generic colours no FS or Revell details. Going to use the guide on the F-84F to assist.

I originally thought that this was a Monogram re-pop but it looks like it could be a 1999 Revell original, the engraved panel work would appear to confirm this.

Currently washed and air drying to be started shortly.

Got some assembly done last night, almost a disaster. Fitted the cockpit tub on top of the guide ridge instead of below it, amazing how much a mm can throw things out of kilter.

Fortunately the glue hadn't cured and was able to realign it. Fit of everything has been excellent no filler at all just a small ridge around the intake. Post some pictures later.

This week I've got the major construction done.

Then it was filled, sanded and Hu11 applied. Decalling has started.

Carrying on with it tonight.

Revell F-84G.

Really looking forward to the greenhouse on this one (not), dry fitting of the clear sections shows an exceptional fit so is the whole kit to be honest.
