Quick build review of the recently released early version of the MiG 21. Fit of all parts has been spot on and detail is very very good for a small scale kit . Cockpit sidewall detail painted , cockpit area also very well detailed. As you can see from the second photo those ejection marks are invisible once the pit is added. ![]() ![]() Just the engine to add and then the fuselage was closed ....a few thin runs of Vallejo putty needed to smooth some areas , especially the wing to fuselage areas but apart from that Im enjoying my modelling for the first time in weeks ![]() Andy |

Looks good. A very iconic aircraft from a great era for aircraft design. |

Now on its legs but..... The front u/c leg needed some extra support in the way of plastic card inserted into the nose wheel bay for extra gluing area for the leg oleo to fix to (just visible in the photo) The main u/c is quite fragile too so be careful !! ![]() ![]() More soon Andy |

And now finished ! MiG-21 F-13 , Blue 66 , 32. Air Defence Garde Regiment , USSR , 1961. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Conclusion Revell has a great kit of the early MiG 21 on its hands Detail is very good for this scale , fit of parts is very good apart from the side sped brakes which needed a bit of fettling to fit flush. Thoroughly recommended Many thanks to Revell for the review sample. Revell model kits are available from all good toy and model retailers. For details visit ; Revell Website Revell Facebook |

Good review of a good looking kit. Saw it at LMS the other day but decided not to buy it. Having seen this I should have done so. Its miles ahead of the Matchbox MiG-21PF and Hasegawa/Academy MiG-21 F-13. |
