I am reliably informed that the Revell Modelling SIG will have a table at ScaleModelWorld this year as they are automatically allocated. I discussed it with Paul at the Farnborough Show and we decided we would go ahead rather than hand the table back for re-allocation, however I will not be able to man the table for much of the time as I am heavily committed to other SIGs this year the CBK in particular.

I'll be there from Friday set-up to Sunday knock-down as usual.

So, I am asking for volunteers to
a). provide models for the table, and
b) man the table for as long as you are able - even 15 mins to half hour will be good.

I will see if I can find some table cloths and will look into making some signage so people know who we are, and some flyers to take away etc. So, I'll just stand here and brace meself for the rush of offers then shall I... :box:

Cheers
Al.

Did you request to be put near AMSIG because that will solve any manning problems?

Thanks for the offer of kits Gents - all will be gladly accepted. Tom, the CBK, Coastal Command and Revell Modelling SIGs are all next door to each other on the floor plan, so I should be able to keep an eye on all the tables, but the CBK display is going to get a lot of interest I think, so it may take up most of my time.

I've noticed quite a jump in visitors to the site over the past 24 hours, presuming SMW is creating some interest.

Just seem a picture of Andy's launch stack on Facebook, well I've got to do something other than be jealous

Seriously hope all there are enjoying themselves.

Apologies for the delay in posting, but as anyone who attends all three days at Telford will attest, it is an exhausting experience. My sincere
thanks to all who helped me out of the predicament of being allocated tables but having nothing (other than the table clothes) personally to
put on them, so that would be Andy (DH764) and his mate Andy, TimJ, Mark, Mike, Tom Weir, TomW and Paul.
I only had time to take a few photos of the table, and realise I have missed out close ups of some of the models - I promise to do better
next time - I'm possibly looking at Cosford if I can arrange to get tables there.

If you can get some at Cosford I'll do everything I can to be there.

Thanks Al and all who contributed.

That notice could have some bearing on my previous comment :thumb:

Superb effort Al and well done to all who supplied kits.
I really need to be there next year as I am fed up with having to not go due to various reasons.

A very very BIG apology to Al as I never made it over to spend time behind the tables ....I promise I will spend time behind the tables next year :$ :$
Great first effort ...thanks to all who put kits on the table and to Al and the chaps "next door" who looked after everything :thumb: :thumb:

Had a fair few enquires about the Hunter build and also my Shuttle stack ....had a bit of a mishap on the way home but a bit of CA should fix everything in time for Cosford.
Great show as always , look forward to next year :)

Absolutely no need to apologise mate, I was away from the table a lot of the time myself - at least up until the point my spending money had all gone!

I always really enjoy the Telford weekend but it is such a relief when it is over for another year, and now I can concentrate on getting stuck into my blue box stash so I will have something to put on the table myself in future. I picked up a Revell-Monogram 1/25th scale Dragster from a trader as I always loved these in the 70's but never actually built one back then. I also have some of the 1/8th scale Chopper bikes which is something I did enjoy building as a teenager. Also, there are all of the 32nd scale aircraft that were always out of pocket money range but adorned my birthday and Christmas lists as a lad, and I have collected like a maniac ever since - I even picked up the Me262 A-1a Swallow, 1971 boxing of kit H-218, still sealed in the bag for for a tenner from the kit swap.

Thanks again for the support, and hopefully we'll start to get more SIG members (19 at the moment) as we display at more shows - and more members for Revellations of course!
