Hi all and here's what graced my work bench (aka kitchen table) this year - my best year since I got back into the hobby in 2011. All are 1/72 scale unless noted and except for any white, all were brush painted. Revell F-14D Callsign 'Bullet 100' of VF-2 Bounty Hunters for a KUTA GB. Standard Revell F-14D kit but modified the wing slats and flaps, Hasegawa weapons. ![]() Hobby Boss HH-60J Jayhawk for a Movie/TV themed GB ![]() My first ever commission build! The trusty, tiny Airfix Gazelle in Irish Air Corps markings. ![]() 1/32-ish (?) AMT Anakin's Podracer for a Sci Fi GB. As well as the Boonta Eve classic, she also bagged the Sci Fi Class at the IPMS Ireland Nationals. ![]() Airfix (yes, that one!) F-4B Phantom for a Phantom GB. My first time using PE on a model....fiddly but fun. First Mig Killer over Vietnam markings of VF-21 ![]() Airfix Tucano T1 in 72 Squadron Display scheme. A 100% OOB build. ![]() Revell Tornado "Pride Of Boelcke" for a Tornado II Tribute to Merv GB over on Britmodeller (this was also OOB) ![]() Revell Eurofighter Typhoon built for a Tu-95 Bear Intercept diorama.. ![]() And watching the Bear. This diorama was 2nd in class for myself and Chief Wiggum (he built the Tu-95) and also took home the People's Choice Award at the IPMS Ireland nationals - they also graced our club table at Telford this year (thanks again Graham for bringing them) ![]() My second ever commission! Converted Revell Dauphin II in Irish Air Corps markings.. ![]() Airfix Spitfire Mk1A (new tool) for a Battle of Britain 75 GB.. ![]() And a bit of What If to finish off the year - a fixed wing Royal Navy Tornado (wings from a Revell F-18, rest from an Airfix GR4) ![]() Thanks for looking and for all the encouragement and support this year. Am looking forward to 2016 and hope it's a safe and happy one for us all. Cheers, Dermot |
