With the lancer all done bar the shouting (waiting for some paint to dry) I'd though I'd pull out my next victims. A pair of 1:48 B-58 Hustlers, one's going to be in NMF the other SEA "Project Bullseye" machine.

Time to get the duster out again.

An update on these two, firstly after a clean up I touched up the airbrushed camo with a hairy stick, at the same time I used a green which more closely matched Revell's colour callot than the black/green I used initially.

Then followed several coats of brushed on Humbrol clear in preparation for the decals which were applied over a couple of nights so she now looks like this and her she is with her sister who has only had the filler sanded back at the moment.

Hoping to get some satin cote on the Bullseye version and silver on the other one this weekend

Been concentrating on the silver "Polaski Hustler" to get both birds up to a similar stage of completion. Painted her silver now working on some tonal variation prior to most likely wrecking it attaching the engine pods. having to do it this way as access to paint the pods in situ is difficult.

I have made a start on the rather complex undercarriage, the main problem being all the connectors to the bay doors, a bit of a compromise between strength accessibility. being using the locating pins as a template to glue the parts together and removing the whole assembly when dry.

Still a couple of things to sort on these:

Bombs on the Bullseye bird.

Pitot's on both

A bit touch up on the silver on the U/C bays

Finish satin varnish on the SEA scheme

Missed the deadline on these by a few days as well, but 48 hours should sort them.
