finally managed to find some time to get back to the bench :rolleyes:

engine has had a wash

the 'office' has been done in Revell aqua 'sand' which sort of comes out that cream leather colour.......seats had moulded in full race harnesses :angry: would have prefered they hadnt so you could add aftermarket ones, or not bother at all

hope to make some progress with this now the weekend is here

not done much during the week except decide to make it kerbside to make the paint job easier, plan on getting the shell done tomorrow with clear coat on sunday, then i can get back to assembly :rolleyes:

Very nice build so far and the colour is ice cool to.
Is it posible to buff the shell up?

It needs buffing, even in the real world you'd have to buff after painting. I use a nail polisher, although some folks swear by Micromesh.

You can get them online or from a cosmetics counter. If you're too shy to do the latter get a girly to get them for you.

Our mate Emil uses Tamiya polishing compounds and waxes to get a mirror like finish.

im going to polish using some fine polishing compund i acquired when i was in the automotive industry

the reason im not happy is cos it seemed to come out a bit 'heavy', its an old can and i dont plan on using it again even tho it still have plenty of pressure

the body to chassis interface isnt going well :angry:

ive actually had to remove a part of the rear suspension so the shell will sit on the chassis (but since this is kerbside you cant see it any way) but its still a forced fit
