This is what I will be building:![]() The Renaissance decals cost more than the kit, although I got the kit at a very favourable price. The decals are beautifully printed, I hope they work as good as they look! Harriet says I need some wheels and tyres. I think the wheels might be passable for Vatanen's car, but slick tyres? Nah! The box contents look completely intimidating, so I put them away again I know, I'm a wuss. My mate The Wookie built a really nice model out of this kit, so I'm going to have to find some bottle from somewhere. ![]() peebeep |

great kit, i wish they would reintroduce it cos im sure it would be a steady seller, wish i could find another at a sensible price the prob i found with the wheels is that they sit too far into the arches dont be intimidated by it, its just a heap of plastic like a plane kit, have fun

Well, the pursuit of knobbly tyres has so far drawn a blank. If anybody has any leads, please let me know. This project is quite dear to my heart as I used to be the proud owner of Mk II Escort Harrier, which was equipped with full X-pack bodywork, Stage II 1700 X-flow with fast road cam, quick steering rack and obligatory straight through and very loud pipe. Oh and a set of Cibies that could fry eggs - they certainly fried enough relays! peebeep |

Not yet, but I have a couple of leads. I'm also attempting to clean up my act by sorting a KUTA completion before moving onto something fresh. peebeep |

Here's the gubbins from the box and I've made a bit of a start by assembling the engine block. I've been looking in vain for the radiator fan, but there isn't one!![]() The body shell and add-ons will be cleaned up and primed with Alclad white. I'm going to have a search around for ignition leads and rad pipes. peebeep |

get down to hobby craft......look for coated jewelry wire.....comes in different gauges and is coated in a variety of colours. i bought one spool about 3 years ago, used it for all sorts of things, not just ign wires, still got half a spool left, only cost a couple of quid i used black for this hi boy, cant remember what i used to scratch the dizzy,....think it was the hollow tube from a cotton bud ![]() another alternative, that i dont do any more since finding the jewelry wire, is to strip down a dead usb cable. all the wires are obviously coated and coloured. the downside is that they can (but not always) look too big for 1/24 (but great for 1/12 bikes ) and sometimes do not lay how you want them toi did this dragster ages ago using usb wires ![]() cheaper than buying after market cables  |
