Well, I decided I needed to do something between all this sensible modelling .... And as it has Revell in small letters on the box!

The front - I didn't worry about removing the chrome on the rad, it is a rod after all!

It's basically OOB with the addition of a map of the Sahara - well they ought to know where they're going ...

Thanks for the comments, I bought this from Modelzone in their sale last year. They have now discontinued it, but it was a bargain

It's a kit you can do anything to and it wouldn't be wrong, which I like a lot (unsurprisingly). Tom Daniels and Big Daddy Ed Roth were such visionaries when it came to rods

Ever have one of those 'I WANT ONE' moments?. That is soooo cool.
HMMM, Let me see now, Luftwaffe staff car. two tone gray cammo over a blue lower half. Yellow nose. OK. so I build hundresds of models in my mind for every one in plastic, maybe thats why my stash is too....err I mean slightly big ;)

AWESOME build. That is very impressive.

All the best.

How did i miss this?!!!

Orignal was Monogram, issued late '60's.
So with the frequent changes in ownership............... :grins:

Knew the kit had been 're-popped' but never seen one.............this time around!!
The only ones on evil-bay are from the States at silly money.

Still, Telford is only 4 months away :wicked:

Paul

Er, how about sandgelb and dunkelgelb over hellbleu with a white nose,
white rear and running boards? Or, 81, 82, 83?!!

Great looking build. I've done two of these...one dessert scheme, one in European staff car color. I left the skeletons out of both. Not a bad little model, and a great break from the "norm". Well done...it looks great. Congratulations!!!!!!!

Eric, I'll have to find it - give me a nudge in a week or so if I haven't found it for you ...

The first time I took it out was at Salisbury - I came back to the stand to find a guy from the Tank Museum cooing over it, I was very surprised. then his mate came over, they thought it was really amusing. (Made my day, actually :D )

A lovely build, I did it twice donkeys years ago. The first one in a gloss black 'civilian' scheme and the second in the desert scheme.
This one actually isn't a reissue, it's a new kit. Revell-Monogram announced it in the nostalgia reissues programme, then couldn't locate the mould!
And as they'd had so many enquiries after it they re-tooled it! How about that?!
