Media Release
IPMS (UK) The Society for Scale Modellers
Royal Navy Lynx Will Drop into Scale ModelWorld

The Royal Navy will be attending Scale ModelWorld this year with a fully operational Lynx Helicopter over the show weekend of 10-11th November. The Lynx will be flying into Telford International Centre and landing in the car park on Friday, 9th November before being wheeled inside where it willl be on display all weekend, with the crew on hand to answer questions. For those of you with the new Airfix kit you are unlikely to have a better chance to check it against the real thing!

The attendance of the Lynx has been made possible by Airfix, who negotiated with the Royal Navy and are sponsoring the helicopter's attendance at the show. IPMS UK would like to thank Airfix and Marketing Manager Darrell Burge in particular for their continuing support for the worlds premier model show.
Airfix have invited all IPMS members who have a completed model of the Lynx to bring it to the show and exhibit it on the special Airfix Lynx display in front of the actual aircraft.
Scale ModelWorld, the annual IPMS (UK) Model Show, is the largest plastic modelling exhibition in the World and takes place on 10-11 November 2012 at The International Centre, Telford, Shropshire, TF3 4JH. Full details can be found on our dedicated Scale ModelWorld website: www.smwshow.com

So like are they going to have all the kits set up on a table and when the Lynx lands everything will go flying?

Sorry if my sense of humor is off the wall.

I would like to see some pictures of the event. Nice that builders are going to be recognized.

The new Airfix management are quite canny at marketing. This should be an interesting event (even more than usual!).

I think the last Helo I built myself was the old Sikorsky Skycrane kit from Revell, back in 1975. I did help my nephew with an Airfix Sea KIng a few years ago.

I must do a helo again soon...
