T-80 from my military vehicle GB might abscond to this one or the Mig-3 idea is a good one. Or given the limitations of the Revell aspect of the GB it maybe worth looking at something less obvious, thinking Cuba/Vietnam

I-16, Very nice choice, bags of marking options too. Lovely little aircraft.
I've opened my Mustang for a first look, yikes , how old is that!!! I am guessing early or even pre seventies. Awful pliable silvery plastic, rivets like scale tennis balls. Comedy wheels and UC legs. I will be building it alongside the new Airfix tool for the ATF mustang build, so will be interesting if a tad unfair to compare the two.

TF, THAT "LEGACY" 1/72 Revell P-51D is not one of their better kits.. I'm thinking mid 1960's for the original issue date...too bad as the accuracy is much better on the other a/c in the series..........

Cheers,
ggc

Mid 60's wow. Well let's see what becomes of it! Compared parts to drawings in Aircraft of the fighting powers. And have to say it's accuracy isn't too bad at all. Tail planes maybe a little too curved off. Any way wet and dry at the ready.....

1963 I believe. There's usually a copyright and date on one of the kit components.

:hmm: It's an icon of the communist era, so I would be in favour, but Carl can decide.

How could I possibly say no?

Apart from the fact that it's an icon, as peebeep mentions, it was produced by a state owned company in the GDR, which is communist enough for me!

Go for it! :thumb:

The revolution is scheduled for 0000 GMT, so less than three hours to go comrades.

Don't forget the wise words spoken by the great plastic Lenin:
"The way to crush the bourgeois seams is to grind them between the millstones of sanding and filling." ;)
