Although I've got no further pictures, it is progressing. Most of the painting done, just the anti glare panel to do. I think to do:
Gloss varnish it
Decals
A few aerials to fix
Satin finish to apply
U/C to install

Should be done by next week or there abouts

Used Humbrol metalcote for the first time, made a few mistakes but quite happy with the effect. Quick question, do you use enamel thinners with it ? because it didn't half block the airbrush a lot when I was using it.

Progress on the Soviet Hare to the Trabant Tortoise :blink: , allowing for paint to dry etc I think it will be another couple of days before the Foxbat will be finished. But it's getting there.

That looks really very nice.

You are right about it being a 70s kit, 1979 to be precise. I had just started working for Beatties and made one for display.
And you're also right to doubt the nose profile being right for the recce version, it was released as an interceptor only. Hence the four huge missiles (Aphids?).
Which means Revell US have been rather naughty issuing it as a recce machine. Tut tut.
