Not sure if this is the correct place to show this. If inappropriate please move. I made a small pause in the middle of building Revell's 1:400 Titanic. http://s13.zetaboards.com/RevellAtions/topic/9012150/1/ To rest a bit I finished a small paper model of the legendary DC-3 in its C-47 "Sister Ann" incarnation. The kit was originally designed and offered as a free download by the Tokyo Solid Model Club (TSMC) http://www.ne.jp/asahi/tsmc/net/ The designer put a huge effort in replicating correctly the panel lines and rivets so characteristic of the DC-3. The shapes are also very precise. The end result is a wonderful kit, and an enjoyable build despite its small size. The landing gear is laminated, but I suspect I over did it. Mine looks too thick. Surely it works fine with less layers. It was originally at 1:100 scale. But I decided to print it a bit larger. In the end it is 1:78. (Unusual scale, I know) The complete building thread with full details can be found at http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/aviation/36184-dc-3-sister-ann-tmsc-1-100-a.html but I offer below the most important photos of the build process and some of the finished kit. This model has just been chosen as "model of the week" at http://www.papermodelers.com/ and also at: http://maquetasenpapel.mforos.com/ Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for reading. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Edited by rubenandres77, Oct 17 2016, 01:51 PM.
