Maybe a modified tooling Shackleton next year?
As per modelldoc's reply, I was always given to understand that there would be another Shackleton variant from Revell, most likely an MR2. I think anything else would be a bit beyond what could be economically achieved with the tooling they already have.

I'm rather disappointed there's no Boeing 787-9. The Zvezda one seems impossible to pick up and I'd hoped Revell would do a rebox like they have with the 787-8.

It's always possible they might do it, but I use ebay or Amazon for stuff that is otherwise difficult to get. As it happens the Zvezda 787-9 is listed on Hannant's and Modelsfordale also had them but are currently sold out.

Thanks for that - I tend to buy models at model shows rather than online; but civil stuff is always hard to find, and this particular one has eluded me totally.

The Vampire kit just gone to the top of my shopping list !!
Just found out that one of the decal options is for an aircraft stationed at RAF Thornaby which was less than 10 minutes away from were I live :yipee:
Can't wait for that to come out

Dear Revell,

Is there anyway you could migrate those pictures off of Photobucket? The images are no longer viewable thanks to PB's new policy. I'd really love to see that 1/32 P-51D that's slated for October!!!

Thank you,

Eric

Hi Eric, I'll have a look at reinstating the images. This is not Revell's problem per se, they give lots of help and support to this forum, but it's independent of Revell and run by volunteers, so please bear with us.

Thank you for the info, Paul! Sure can't wait to see the new -51. A large scale Mustang at Revell pricing is going to be great!!!

I'm sure anybody that would like a Tamiya P-51 but find the price out of their league will be looking at this new Revell kit. I've got a Revell 1/32 Me 262 and Fw 190 stashed and they look outstanding in the box, plus I've seen encouraging feedback from people building the Spitfire IX.

I'd LOVE that Fletcher class destroyer. I can't imagine the cost being too wallet friendly though. Not in Canada anyway.

RRP in the UK is 120.00 GBP. I have no idea how that will translate in Canadian dollars.

$1.60 CAD to 1 GBP. It comes out to near $200. I'm not at that level of building yet, but if I saw it on sale, I'd grab it in a heartbeat. I just read a book on the USS Laffey (the later one that wasn't sunk) and been itching to find a Fletcher to build it up as the Laffey. This would be an ideal kit to do that build with, but will have to see exactly what they end up asking as far as pricing goes.

The book is called "Hell from the Heavens: The Epic Story of the USS Laffey and World War II's Greatest Kamikaze Attack"

I thoroughly enjoyed the book and had trouble putting it down.

I bought the "standard" release some time ago (7 years ago  ) and is a good kit unless all the bells and whistles are a must.

The review is here if interested, IIRC about £60 and they do pop up on e-bay.

Thanks for that. I will try to search out that kit. I have a slight fear of PE still, so it's not a necessity.
