Matchbox 1:72 Curtiss SB2C-1 Helldiver (PK-104) 17-B-37; of VB-17; USS Bunkerhill, 1943 2017#2 Here is a blast from the past, an original 1974 issue Matchbox Helldiver, it was re-issued a couple of times by Matchbox and once by Revell in 2000 as kit number 04142. This has been completed OOB and brush painted using Revell Aquacolor paints and matt varnish, and an EZLine aerial. ![]() It’s certainly a product of both the manufacturer and of the time, decals were a little out of register so a touch of remedial painting was required to hide some white circles around the stars. For obvious reasons I decided not to accentuate the panel lines. Whilst not the most accurate or nicest kit I have ever made I had a complete hoot making it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
