Is the trailer from this kit lost forever? I know the Kenworth tractor has been reissue several times since it's inception in 1955 as the Honest John missile hauler.

To this day, it is probably the best example of a mid 1950s American semi van trailer model.

1/48th scale, "O" gauge.

As far as I can tell this kit was only released between 1956-57 as kit number H-1403. It was modified to make the carrier for the "Honest John" missile H-1281.

So if they modified the moulds rather than creating additional parts then you could be right as regards it being lost and not made again.

Chucky, I'm a fan of the 1/48 "O Scale" Revell vehicle kits. Most have been reissued, ie: Chevy Stake truck, Ford pick-up, White Gasoline Semi, Kenworth flat bed semi, These kits could compliment a O-Scale model railroad [Lionel]. They don't come with window glass but do have nice 1/48 figures and accessories.

Certainly a blast from the past...... :woo:

Cheers,

ggc :codger:
