Airfix 1:24 Hawker Hurricane Mk.I. A*LK P2798 No.87 Squadron, Flt. Lt. Ian Richard (Widge) Gleed. Royal Air Force, Exeter, England, August 1940. ![]() Although some fit issues particularly around the engine bay I have really enjoyed making this old tooled kit. Brush painted with the starter pot Humbrol Acrylics, mainly Hu90, 29, 78 and 163 with Revell Aquacolors for the metallics and ancillaries. My first attempt at simulating chipping by brush painting silver. I used Flory dark and brown washes for the weathering and EZLine for the aerial. A/M belts and instruments dials used, the rest is OOB. It now joins the Spit, 109 and Mustang on the shelf. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for looking. John |

That is a build to be proud of! Really great. The chipping looks very realistic. From a fellow brush painter, it looks excellent. Johnnyb |
