Time to get this one on the track! This is John Greenwood and Dick Smother's Corvette from the 1971 Sebring 24hr race. Greenwood was the biggest proponent of C-3 Corvette racing. This is probably the best article I've found on him. Worth a read!

Kit decals instructions.

This is a supplemental decal instruction sheet that I printed from the Revell website. First time I have seen one of these. Not sure what the differences are yet, but I will let you know when I get to that stage of the build.

Did a little bit of work on it, while watching the Detroit Indy race. (Anybody watch the Indy 500 last weekend? Great race.) I have the chassis pained and assembled. Suspension added. Not going to do much more to it. Maybe a little dark gray dry brush. I did find a set of Minilite wheels to use. Continuing to to work on it tonight. The missus is going out with friends.

I'll probably use either Tamiya TS-30 Bare Metal or Gunmetal. They look like the are steel from the photos.

Did some basic interior work. I installed most of the roll cage ... one more piece to go .. and painted it gray. In most of the pictures I've seen of these trans am racers, the interior is gray. Not absolutely sure if it is accurate for this car, but it will look better than the usual black pit. I used Model Master enamel light ghost gray .. the color I use on my modern Nascar interiors. I installed some roll bar padding that I got from Competition Resins. Painted the dash and the seat. I am going to add some seat belts and some wiring to fill it up a bit.

Thanks for checking it! Good luck on your builds.
