Kitty Hawk 1:48 Lockheed F-94C Starfire 56-5613. (KH80101) 354 Fighter Intercept Squdron, Oxnard Air Force Base, California, USA 1953 (as displayed at Pima Air Force Museum) Make: Kitty Hawk Scale. 1:48 Subject: Lockheed F-94C Starfire Build: Out of Box Paint Method: Paintbrush Paints used. Revell Aquacolors throughout. Finishing Materials: Humbrol Clear and Decalfix This was the first kit produced by Kitty Hawk but as I am trying to have a collection of 1:48 American jet fighters, when it came out I had to get it. No major issues with construction but some of the photo etch was a bit of a pain as were some of the decals. A plane I was not really aware of until recently, in essence a heavily modified T-33 built as an interim interceptor due to delays in Northrop's F-89 Scorpion. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
