Make: Hobbycraft
Scale: 1:48
Kit Number:HC1549
Model: De Haviland Vampire F3
Markings: No 200 Squadron, Mexican Air Force
Paint Method: Paint brush
Paints Used: Revell Aquacolor
Decals Fixing: Humbrol Decalfix
Weathering: Flory Dark Dirt Wash
Varnishes: Humbrol Clear, Revell Aquacolor Matt
Aftermaket: None
Scratch Build: Tamiya tape lap belts.

Finished the Hobby Craft 1:48 D.H. Vampire F.3 , a pretty basic kit which went together without many issues. Just be careful with the nose weight as this type of plane is a notorious tail sitter.
Decals were not the best and the shark’s mouth is completely the wrong shape for the plane they are suppose to depict. However it’s nice to have something a little different.

Very nice work. I really appreciate how you list the products you used in construction. I wish I could get the aquacolor paints over here. I heard they brush really well. Do you use the Humbrol for the gloss coat and the Aquacolor matte for the finish? Nice build, btw.

Cheers, yes johnnyb, I clear before and after applying decals then apply the appropriate type of varnish.
