Make: Tamiya
Scale: 1:35
Kit Number: 35020
Model: Hanomag Sdkfz 251/1
Markings: 24th Panzer Division, 4th Company; 1st Platoon; 5th Vehicle (415)
Paint Method: Brush Painted
Paints Used: Revell Aquacolor throughout
Decals Fixing: Humbrol Decalfix
Weathering: Flory Dark and brown washes, very thinned Revell Aquacolor
Varnishes: Revell Aquacolor Mat Varnish
Aftermarket: None - OOB build
Scratch Build: None- see above.

A few weeks back I made the Revell 1:72 Panzer III, the first armour I had made in around 40 years. I did have some Tamiya 1:35 kits in my stash and on the strength that I quite enjoyed making the Braille scale tank I decided to give something bigger a bit of a go.

Even though this kit is decades old, it still goes together very well with a minimal of clean up. To be honest the vehicle itself did not take much time to make, figures are my nemesis so they delayed the finish whilst I countered my demons in painting them.

Unfortunately one of the headlights pinged off my tweezers into the 8th dimension (can’t even blame the carpet monster as I make my models at the kitchen table) as try as I might I could not find it, so I’m going to put it’s absence down to pilfering from another crew.

Got a few more on the go that I will hopefully get finished over the coming weeks.

Thanks for looking

John.
