Well, guys, it's official. Legolas extended an alliance offer to Arwen (a "stronghold," as she would call it), so the three of us are working together officially. Considering that I have a solid relationship with Eomer and feel I can trust Eowyn, this leaves three of the eight members of this team outside my grace and protection. Let's hope they're not smart enough to use Rings! It's already been indicated to me that I'm well-liked and perceived as a leader. SHIIIIIT. I want to win challenges, but I may have to start off doing poorly so as not to make myself a triple threat. I don't want to be knocked out early after pouring my heart into this game, only because I set myself up too high too fast. I can't allow that to happen and need to work on being everyone's best friend so they don't think I'm just running the show and using them. If we are faced with a vote tonight, it has been agreed upon pretty much that the vote will be Galadriel. She did, however, mention being here, so if she shows up and plays and we still have to vote, she probably will be wise enough to use her Ring. Ynless she just wants to go to the Arena and get a chance to mutiny, but that's a big risk, and not knowing who she is or how she ticks whatsoever, there's no telling what she'll do. If she plays the Ring, the next target would be Faramir, but he's already told me since he hopped back on that he knows he'll be a target and asked me what I'd heard. I was fairly honest with him that only he and Galadriel had been MIA through the weekend and it had been discussed that one of them would go, but tat everyone wanted Galadriel out and had hoped he would show again since he'd talked to most people at least once.. We'll see if he bites and sits on his Ring for now. Let's hope so, because if not I'd have to push it down to Boromir. Sigh. |

The Legolas/ Arwen/ Elrond alliance is official, and Legolas continues to harp on me naming it since I came up with the name "Fellowship of the Ring"     The lack of fans in this game is shocking to me, considering how pervasive LotR is in cinematic culture and how long it's been around in literature. But whatever, fans aren't necessary to be good players. Anyway, I suggested that our alliance name be called "Two and a Half Elves." So stupid. Arwen can be Charlie Sheen, she seems like she has crazy lurking under the surface.

So, FUCK GALADRIEL for showing up. The vote would've been her or Faramir had she not shown up earlier, and probably would've leaned toward Faramir since it looks like she'd be here for the challenge and he wouldn't, but even so, she showed up too early and started gaming. Arwen already has fallen under the witch's spell (yes, Gimli, she's a witch, now stfu about it). Galadriel almost instantly suggested an Elf Alliance (2&1/2E + Galadriel) that obviously was designed to guard her back. She went for the Elves because she had yet to get to know anyone and it was an easy route. And Arwen's buying it? This should be easy - Galadriel feels safe and won't play her Ring, so we boot her tonight. BOOM. Let her vote Faramir and think she's safe with the Elves, whatever. We have the excuse that she's been gone forever. But apparently she's wooed Arwen, who may seriously be entertaining the alliance. *groan* If I do ally with Galadriel (of course me, Legolas, and Arwen said yes, to make her comfortable and prevent her coming after us when we reject her), it means that once Faramir is gone our only boot options are Eomer, Eowyn, and Boromir. I love Eomer and Eowyn and think that Eomer is one of my best options moving forward and that a threesome of the Rohan + Me could be glorious. Besides, Boromir finally has grown on me and would feel greatly betrayed were I to allow him to leave. So if I'm forced to ally with Galadriel and honor to avoid making Arwen upset, I'm stuck with no boot options. MUTINEER, PLEASE?? Galadriel is coming on too hard and too fast and I don't see why Arwen doesn't recognize that. I suppose she hasn't connected with Eomer and Eowyn and I've pretty much told her I have, so it makes sense for her to want to limit my options, but DAMN, GIRL. Going with Galadriel who offers an alliance in her first PM?! It's just senseless. |

Trust me Elrond, going all out and winning all of the challenges is not impossible and you will look back on a game like that with great pride. Just don't write that opportunity completely off without thinking it through. |

Hm. True. I'm generally not the type of person who can throw challenges without just failing to show entirely anyway, so perhaps I'll just go all out and see if I do have challenge prowess, and if I do, I'll build it as an asset and selling point as best I can. |

Oh, Faramir. I was shocked as hell he decided not to play the Ring, and then acquiesced to his fate so quickly. He even indicated to me that he plans to return to Rivendell, perhaps! If he does, he will probably play his Ring next time, which hopefully would allow us to get Galadriel out if so desired. I don't think he'll be dumb enough to pull a RI Matt and get booted by the same crew twice. What do I make of Frodo's comments in our Fellowship thread? Perhaps he's trying to paint himself as a target, but I'm uncertain as to whether or not it's true. We'll see who the boot is over there, but it sounds like Merry is going to be gone. I wonder who Pippin's companion is? They now, assuredly, are Ring-less. |

Before I start Day 4 and laugh at Saruman showing up and beating Faramir and Merry, and then defecting to the Shire (all while still having a Ring!) and praise myself for talking Faramir into exiling me and praying that E4 was a damn good space, I need to do my Day Three rankings. Galadriel and Faramir showed up, Eowyn was mostly absent, Legolas won the challenge, and we had a vote. And therefore, the rankings are as follows (I decided to go ahead and take myself out since I ALWAYS will be #1). (+/-0) (+1) (+4) (+2) (-5) (+3) (-2) (-4) (-1)

I bet sticking to the alliance with Galadriel looks better in retrospect? Elrond

Poor Elrond :(. If Rivendell wasn't so doomed, I wouldn't have had to resort to self-preservation. At least you have the luxury of knowing that my vote against you was such a ~ hella hella horrible move~ and I am a shitty player because of it. It put me in the worst position possible in the game, and the shittiness of that move I made had nothing to do with GaGa's biased opinions due to wanting to be shoved up your ass for the rest of her life. Anyway, you were great
