Well, I was gone pretty much all day because I worked at 4:30am, got off at 11:30am, and then had to drive an hour and half and be at an appointment with my lawyer at 2pm. Then had to drive home after being told he'll cost $2K. Ugh, what a day. At least I got sent to the Glittering Caves!! I talked to Faramir during the voting window (after he failed to play the Ring ) and encouraged him to return to Rivendell if he won the Arena, which would've been hilarious. I also asked who he would send to the Glittering Caves if he happened to lose, and he decided he'd send me since there is a silver lining. What a sweetheart. I will admit when I logged on I was like "WTF" because I figured Saruman wouldn't show and it wouldn't be posted until 7pm. But then I look and Saruman not only showed up but he managed to win the Arena battle! I wish in a way that he had defected to Rivendell, but knowing that he still has a Ring, I think The Shire worked just as well. Let them deal with him. I love that Aragorn spoke far too soon, since he told people that he was in a Fellowship with Saruman and was being pissed about the fact that he was paired up with an inactive. And now Saruman showed and joined Rivendell, so everyone is onto the Aragorn/ Saruman connection! No telling who the Rivendell member was, but I'm guessing it wasn't Faramir, since Aragorn would've probably griped about that too. We'll sit on the Aragorn/ Saruman information and see if we can use it later. |

So in the three hours of driving I did today, I reflected quite a lot upon the game (is that sad??). I thought a lot about what would happen if Merry joined us or Faramir returned, or whether we would just be settling with our seven. So it turns out that we are still at our seven, and that's where I have to work from. In my drives I thought about the Elf Alliance, the true Legolas/ Arwen/ Elrond alliance, the pairing I have with Eomer, the good understanding I have with Boromir, and the trio I'd like to pursue with Eomer and Eowyn. While my goal still is to get rid of Galadriel, while I was driving I came to the conclusion that I want to get rid of Legolas. Yes, he's in my official alliance with Arwen, who loves me the most out of everyone (presumably) and who I have a close bond with. Yes, getting rid of him would ruin my picture-perfect relationship with Arwen and throw into the limelight the fact that Boromir wants to work with me and that I want to work with Eomer. But damn.... Legolas knows what's up with me, he can be my weakness! And I feel forced when I talk t him. I just don't vibe with him like I do with Arwen, Eomer, Boromir, Eowyn... hell, I even jive with Galadriel a bit. But I ran scenarios and I see no possible way of getting rid of Legolas without drawing battle lines. So I'll bide my time. For now, the goal is to get Galadriel to go through tonight without playing her Ring and getting rid of her. It will throw the Elf Alliance under the bus and she'll distrust me, Legolas and Arwen if she stays in the arena. But hopefully she just goes home. I hope they've been doing the legwork to make her feel comfortable, because I'd really rather not see Boromir leave tonight. |

OMW at all of this, quite interesting indeed. I love how you have to play around the Immunity Rings and make people feel safe so they won't use them, it's an element I didn't expect or forsee, but I love watching how it works from this end. ![]() I would ask you questions, but really there are none after such wonderful and informative updates. ![]() Elrond

EOMER STAR G.ODDESSS While I've been away he's worked on my alliance and wants to be a fourth, and Arwen is completely down with it. This is exactly what I need, because Eomer is close with me and now my alliance will protect him without me having to stick my neck out for him. This could possibly be perfect. |

That alliance is pretty hot, not gonna lie. ![]() So is Galadriel still the target tonight, or has anything changed since your return from the Caves? |

Since I've been gone my daughter has been gallivanting with a man who thinks he's half-horse, and between the two of them they've begun shifting the target from Galadriel to Boromir. I'm not fully okay with that - I like Boromir and he really cares about me. I'll feel badly booting him this early or letting him go, because he's a sweet guy and hasn't done anything wrong whatsoever. If he does go, I plan to stray vote for Galadriel so if we connect again he'll think I was blindsided also. We'll see what happens. What would be best tonight is if Boromir played his Ring and we voted out Galadriel, but I don't know how to tell Boromir to play it without telling him that I know he's the target and is getting the votes, which then betrays Arwen and Eomer. Hrm. I wonder if I can get him to play it without being blatant, or without the others finding out that I was the one who tipped him off? Hm hm hm. |

Again, no one plays their Rings!! I'm shocked by this, honestly. I think the fact that Saruman is part of Galadriel's Fellowship may have just saved her - it now is likely that Saruman will play his Ring next round, limiting Galadriel from doing so. |

GOLLUM, WTF?! I ~can't support that~ Frodo is playing hardcore right now... the Shire sounds like a hoppin' place. I hope my vote didn't hurt me tonight, but I do hope it causes Galadriel to target me, since I feel certain that neither Arwen nor Eomer would support that, and it would result in a tie at worst. |

Well, Frodo won for the Shire and two people I didn't care to see leave did. Gollum, my dear sweet Fellowship member, got blindsided after no Rings were played and headed to the arena. And while I knew Boromir was leaving and preferred Galadriel to, it did suck to see two people face off that I would've preferred to have in the game. I put my vote out there and risked people thinking I was overplaying and being selfish to make Boromir feel comfortable and connect with me later, and then he went and lost! B2 better pay off, because if I've done all of this for nothing then I'll be sad. Galadriel went a bit too intense for me on this witch hunt, and I think it's going to pan out that she targets me. I truly hope she thinks I'll go home, because if she does maybe she'll feel safe enough to play the Ring. But I think I'll wait until the Day Five thread to go into all of that. Regardless, Galadriel is a bit of a crazy bitch to be going wild off one vote. |
