Day Five dawns after an intensive arm workout. I went to the gym and weighed myself for the first time in about three months and weighed 12 pounds less than I thought I did. That was exciting. So last round was a bit wild. Here's the loads of mostly non-Rivendell information I have now: - Saruman/ Aragorn/ Galadriel form one Fellowship - No Mordor (or Rivendell) Rings have been played; only Pippin's has been - The Shire is split 4-4, with Frodo/ Saruman on one side, and Aragorn and probably Sam on the other. If I had to further venture a guess, I think the split is Frodo/ Saruman/ Pippin facing off against Aragorn/ Sam, with Gimli, Bilbo, and Gandalf being unknown - Frodo desperately wants someone on the Shire - to break the tie, or to be fodder? - Gollum was booted in a blindside, but feels comfortable enough to return to Mordor - Balrog is decent at challenges - Aragorn's a power-hungry crazy bitch Oh, and I've been offered a damn Mutiny Ring which just muddies my mind up. I'm glad I have a good solid day to myself to reflect upon everything. |

Inside Rivendell got a bit intense too, however. The alliance of Legolas/ Arwen/ Elrond holds strong, while the addition of Galadriel is still supposedly a real alliance. That's changing, though, because Crazy Bitch has gone on an Lex-esque witch hunt for the second vote for her and she pretty much knows it's me. Were I out of the Caves I'd have told her it was me and that it was a last-minute respect vote for Boromir, but now it'll just fester while I'm gone and she'll stir shit against me. The bonus is that the first thing she'll do is probably run to Eomer and tell him I was targeting him - unfortunately for her, I had already opened it up with Eomer that Galadriel had brought his name up, so I preempted that strike. I really haven't discussed Eowyn with anyone so I ought to be safe there, and if Arwen and Legolas go after me it'll be a little irritating. The big deal this round is the Fellowship Ring. Galadriel's going to want to play it because she'll be paranoid now, while Aragorn may want to play his and Saruman will want to play his simply so Aragorn can't. It may be a race to post it, and I truly hope Galadriel doesn't make it. My goal as of right now is to head back to Rivendell, knock Galadriel out, and see her mutiny far away from me and mine. The problem is, we need fresh blood on Rivendell and right now we're not a very attractive crew. We're rather boring in public, are still sitting on all our Rings (minus the person saddled with Pippin), and haven't proven necessarily capable in challenges. Why would they come here? We'll see if it happens, but once we lose Galadriel it's going to be a very narrow game and the slightest misstep can cause great misfortune. And that's why I'm considering using the Mutiny Ring. Let these fellows duke it out when Galadriel plays her Ring, and I can join the Shire and Frodo's side, if he's telling the truth. I even could go to Mordor and be on the upswing with Gollum now that the blindside has revealed the alliances over there. But ultimately, what benefit is it to switch? It's a tough decision, and the fact I'm actually contemplating it makes me tink that perhaps my position isn't as comfortable as I indicated it was. |

Let me rephrase that - my position may be more tenuous than I thought. Yes, that sounds better. |

Now I'm lamenting asking to go to the Caves... I need human contact! I do hope Galadriel's been stirring things against me, though, because I really haven't double-talked anyone yet and she shouldn't be able to get anyone against me, really. I think Arwen and Legolas will be true to our alliance, and considering that Galadriel hasn't been talking to Eomer/ Eowyn but I have, it would be silly for them to flip over to her. It would be transparent that she's coming for me. I am vaguely contemplating going to the Shire, but I think I'm sticking with Rivendell because I work 3:00pm til 11:30pm, and wouldn't have time to talk to them all. It makes more sense to go back to Rivendell and then just hop onto the game plan, which I assume is Galadriel, unless she plays her Ring, in which case we vote Eowyn. If both play them, I think we're going to be stuck with an Eomer boot, but I could vote with Eowyn/ Eomer to force a 3-3 tie against Legolas.... unless Galadriel is a dumbass and votes me, making it 3-2-1. But I trust Legolas in Arena duels to return to the game, and that makes Arwen and him distrust me But between Legolas and Eomer, I'd rather see Legolas go. Regardless, I'll be taking my 30-minute break around 7-8pm. Hopefully I'll be back in by then to send a message or two, and if not I'll take a ten later, between 9pm-11pm so I can at least get out one or two messages then. Sigh. Not the day to be Caved! I should've thought of that already. |
