Forum Rules
We are glad that you have chosen Desert Rogues as your guild for gaming. We want to give every guild member a good forum experience and thus have set in place some rules and guidelines that will help you and other members enjoy our forums. These rules apply across the entire board, in posts, PMs, profiles, signatures, etc.

Etiquette & Posting Guidelines

  1. Treat your fellow posters the way you want to be treated.
  2. English is the primary language of our forums.
  3. You forum account will be removed for registering on our forums just to read a particular thread and/or cause drama.
  4. Please do not ask to be promoted to any guild position on this board. Guild Officials will offer promotions to those members that we find suitable for the position.
  5. You may ask to be promoted to any forum position not related to a guild position.
  6. The following content is unacceptable, with appropriate action being taken with the offending user:

    1. Abusive use of profanity. We do not care if you use profanity, but we ask that you use in moderation.
    2. Racial, ethnic, gender insults, or discriminatory material of any kind toward another member. Again, know who you are talking to. If the remarks are in fun, then be sure the member you are talking about/to knows this and is not offended.
    3. Displaying disrespect toward any member will not be tolerated.
    4. Continuous short, useless posts or excessive repeated posts—i.e., spam
    5. Pornography, unless posted in Off Topic-The Squared Circle... and in moderation.
    6. Giving out personal or contact details of other members unless the member is okay with it. This includes, but is not limited to, email addresses, telephone numbers, and IP addresses. If you wish to share other member details with one other member, use the PM system.

  7. The Squared Circle is the “No Moderation” forum, but just because you can post things there that you can’t in other areas of the forums does not mean you should stop using good judgment.
  8. Please use restraint when discussing Religion and Politics. Lighthearted discussion is ok, but no more. Sometimes avoiding those topics altogether might be best.
  9. If you want to post large images [bigger than 600x600 pixels] or several images in a row, link to them instead of placing them in a post. Be considerate of those on slower connections.
  10. Post in the appropriate section. If your topic is placed in the wrong section, it may be moved.
  11. Use the spoiler BBCode tag for extra long posts.

  12. Forum Administration reserves the right to edit or remove any posted content. Topics may be deleted or closed to keep the board organized and prevent spam.
  13. Do not create new threads with the same topic as a thread which has been previously closed by the forum Administrators/Moderators.
  14. Do not advertise other guilds or forums, unless to direct members to specific information. Unwanted advertising will result in forum suspension. Repeating offenders will be banned.
  15. Forum Administration reserves the right to edit or delete your account at any time.
  16. You are only allowed one account on this board, unless approved by administration. Creating multiple accounts to get around suspension or other punishments will result in a tripling of the punishment time or permanent banishment.
  17. We restrict member ranks to remove access to certain parts of the board that are for specific forum/guild ranks.
  18. If you have a complaint about a member's conduct on this forum, please send a PM to g0b0ts [Guild Leader], Ruhi, or Crispin.
  19. Do not give out any personal member information found on this board to people outside of the guild, unless given permission by that member. You will be permanently banned from the guild and forum if caught.


Signature & Avatar Guidelines

  1. Please keep your signature, including all images and text, at or smaller than 550x150 pixels.
  2. Limit the size of text in your signature to 2 sizes larger than the base size.
  3. We ask that any images in your signature be kept smaller than 100 KB in file size (preferably 50 KB or less).
  4. Avatars should be no more than 25 KB in file size (even those linked to url's).
  5. Do not use flashing images in your avatar or signature.
  6. All avatars and signatures are subject to all guild and forum rules/guidelines.
  7. We prefer members to link to url's for Avatars and Signatures instead of uploading.


Support

The primary purpose of this board is to provide support for the guild forums. As such, behavior that would interfere with support should be avoided.

  1. Check the FAQ before requesting forum support. Many common questions are answered there; use the Search engine if you can’t find anything before posting/pm'ing for forum support.
  2. Do not spam posts, PM's, or emails for support. Your ability to use the PM system, post, or send emails may be removed.
  3. Unless it is personal, try to use only posts in the Forum Support Center for support, since then your answered question will help others in the future.
  4. Post in someone else’s support topic only to try providing accurate, detailed answers. Do not post to ask a question of your own (create your own topic for that).
  5. We only, officially, provide support for this board. We will not be held responsible for bad support for other message board services, web hosts, or any other sort of third party product.
