Bringing new resources eh? Maybe we'll see some Saracens style interpretation of the salary cap or find ourselves with lots of new players whose wives all have jobs in Bicester village. They seem very safe, as in not very inspired, appointments to me although as one of them is a finance guy I like the idea that Robson has been given a poke in the eye and our non move to MK is on the back burner again.

Ossie, unless I missed something, how has Robson been given a poke in the eye?
And I didn't see anything about MK in the article either...

This to me just seems we're improving our expertise in marketing and retailing............

Any plc needs to have non exec directors, not sure if it was me I'd have advertised the roles. Surely we must have know what we wanted in terms of experience and should have looked for someone with marketing/brand experience with a sporting background.

Sport is completely different to retail and if you have no idea of the market, how can you expect to advise/negotiate the best deals.

Whilst I do not under any circumstances want to move to MK, someone like Winkleman would have been better, someone from a big sporting brand or an ex premier league commercial director who has just realised football is boring

HC, Robbo's a finance man and his qualifications are somewhat similar to one of these guys, albeit at a much smaller commercial level. I wonder why someone with such a similar cv is needed. The reference to MK comes from the comments at the bottom of the page where it is suggested that the masterplan will probably be off the table for a while now and before you say it, I know he's always denied it but then he would, wouldn't he?

That is a good question, unless Robbo is taking on a more leadership role?
Re MK, I read that as the medium and master plans are being put into action...

don't think it puts Robson out of joint at all, hes the CEO, these guys have been brought on non-exec directors its not like they are leaving their jobs, i doubt they will have anything to do with the financial running of the club, more then likely brought on to help expand our brand and develop retail opportunists via their expertise and contacts in those areas.
