I thought the referee had a good game too.

I thought the 2 commentators were awful, the most obvious mistake was getting players names wrong. Lewis Ludlum came on for Tigers, then became know as Ludlow once they had correctly identified him as a Saints player.

dont get me wrong I rate ken, however he looked outstanding v tigers, hope it continues.

I think that back three is a solid and reasonably exciting back three. not too sure ace is a fb, but hes a great finisher and runs well. just comparing to other top teams back three........its not the best.

I think the repeated reference to the "back three" as being dangerous by the commentators was misleading, especially as they kept including Harry in that description! Both he and Tuitavake presented a threat, and it was the combination of all the backs working together which made them effective. I would say that whilst Ace was good, I can't help but feel he concedes possession far too easily. I don't know how you coach that out of someone but he won't be able to be a first choice FB if he can't inspire confidence that he'll retain the ball.

It was very frustrating at the week end the amount of times he knocked on or was stripped in the tackled at the weekend

two teams poor in some departments stronger in others our back row was awfull, did say nutters does not have two good games in a row, their
7 was younger and better.
Time to look at Ludlam before he is too old to improve.
Their backs were poor so hard to judge our attack properly.

I agree Chesty.
He's 21, so he needs game time or to be cut.

Nutters is good when he gets to play a bit more. No idea if he will ever be a starter though.

The back row were handled very well by Tigs at the weekend. They did only get penalised once though and were flying in from the side all afternoon

According to the profiles Nutters is 25 in April ,Ludlam is 22 this year.If they have ambition one of them must be given game time or they will leave. DIscisions need to be made by the club, or the players should rattle the cage, we need ambitious players at the club not ones happy not even to be benching.

both are academy products, something can be said for them not upping and leaving just cause they are not making the first team, loyalty is a credible thing.

Nutley isnt really good enough imo to be anything other then cover for a prem side. he could drop down and get a decent number of games for a champ side but hes a local lad, no doubt playing a few number of games for saints is worth alot more then many for a smaller club.

I've had this discussion with lots of my mates in relation to football, i.e players moving to china for big money, lots of criticism that they are throwing away their careers etc. imo how can u criticise a Brazilian for leaving chelsea for more money in china, at the end of the day what do they care for chelsea, if they were in it for the love of the game they would still be at their local club in brazil. aswell as i imagine it would be quite an experience moving and living in china. u take the sport aspect away and people wouldnt criticise in the same way people realise that individuals get settled in their life, i dont think because nutley is not looking to move to a smaller club that hes not showing any ambition or not given his all to play for saints.

however moving quickly on before a football discussion breaks out i think the club does need to start backing ludlem more, we do seem to be slow at bringing players through. we seem rather risk adverse at this. otherwise another e waller situation occurs

I think Nutley could be good if he got game time.
I also think he'd get game time at a Wuss, Bristol, Newcastle type side.
That's where I'd go if I was him.

big mac don't get your comparison one is money, one is getting game time at the sport you love, at 25 get game time before you regret it.If you think your good enough wuss is not as far as China if you don't then lets sign a younger man who could be.

I think the club is risk averse. Other 10s could have been given more exposure which might have increased their confidence. We're now back to stage one with no up and coming replacement 10.

my point is hes a local lad, he probably cares about the club.

for me personally id rather have ten caps for saints then 100 for wuss

It's a tough one Mac.
I think early in my career I'd agree with you.
But as time goes on I think I'd want to play.
For me, as long as I was getting a good wage, it wouldn't be my driving factor.
However, given the shortness of career, if I was moving away from Saints and I could earn twice as much in Japan as playing for Wuss, I'd be tempted to head to Japan.

Agree with mac and clap but wuss was only a club I put down.I think playing is the main thing, I am more in love with rugby than Saints so perhaps my views differ even though saints are my team,
