Set to Heroic uses a combination of EPGP and Loot Council (headed by guild officers and GM) to distribute loot. Tier tokens and select special items are given out by Loot Council, while all the rest of loot is given out by EPGP.

How EPGP Works
EPGP stands for: Effort Points/Gear Points. Effort points are the quantifier for the amount of effort an individual puts in towards achieving the goals of the raiding team. Gear points are the quantifier for how much loot you have received. PR (Loot Priority) is the deciding factor for who has priority on loot and is derived from the formula:
  • PR = EP/GP

The person with the highest PR will win the item.

In order to ensure that loot is given to those that have contributed recently and to prevent hoarding of points, there is an equal decay of both EP and GP. Set to Heroic has chosen a rate of 21% to ensure the continued success of the current team.

Rank plays no role in how loot is distributed through EPGP, however, new Trials will start with zero points.

How to Gain EP:

  • Raid hours
  • Boss kills
  • Calendar accepts in addition to showing up on time (both factors must be present; accepting a calendar invite and not showing up on time will result in a loss of EP)
  • Donations to the guild bank (a minor amount with a cap equal to one hour of raiding)

How to Gain GP:

  • An automatically computed value determined by the EPGP add-on based on factors such as item level and slot of the piece in question.

Loot Council
Tier tokens and certain non-tier items will be distributed through Loot Council. The non-tier items that are to be on the roster for Loot Council will be announced before hand. Examples of said items include: Legendaries, rare trinkets, and weapons.

Loot Council is a very delicate way of keeping tier in the benefit of the guild. Tier 13 introduced the ability to provide an entire raid CD through tank 4 sets, which is significantly more beneficial to the guild's progression. We predict that future raiding tiers will provide the same bonuses to certain 4 sets and thus Loot Council will continued to be used. As for the certain special items, previous experience has shown that it is best to distribute these items by Loot Council.

Mounts will be given to the raid leader and officers first as a reward for their hard work in running and maintaing the guild.
