In order to maintain the rank of Raider in Set to Heroic, one must meet certain expectations (in no particular order):
- Be open to constructive criticism, be it from an officer or fellow guild member. All advice and constructive criticism is to be given in a polite and non-demeaning manor (a failure to do so may result in punishment). If you see someone that could benefit from constructive criticism you are to approach an officer first, as this can be a delicate subject with some and to avoid possible drama.
- As a Raider member maintain an 85% attendance rate.
- Be tolerant of the rotation of players, including yourself. A competitive team must maintain a roster for optimal raid composition during progression as well as to cover the daily ins and outs of attendance. Rotation will be done frequently and regardless of rank, although other factors such as performance, attendance, and raid composition will be taken into account. While you are not inside the instance you are expected to stay on Vent and ready to come in as soon as called. A failure to tolerate rotation (e.g. complain about it) will result in heavy penalty if not expulsion from the guild.
- Play with a stable internet connection, a computer that can handle raiding, and the insured safety of your account (e.g. use of an authenticator).
- This is a game, however we play to win. We all understand that life can be difficult at times and if you will be unable to maintain your performance or ability to meet any of the outlined criteria, recognize this and approach an officer. Those who are proactive about issues will not have to be worried about removal from the guild. Those that are not proactive about issues and let them get in the way, only to bring them up after the fact as an excuse, will not be given as much latitude.
- Have an understanding that we are all equal, including Trials and the Guild Leader. This means that when (not if) research is called for, everyone is expected to do so. This extends beyond simple boss strategy and into specific information regarding your class and spec. The raid leader and officers will be doing extensive research on the fight(s), and although you won't be expected to go quite to the extreme they do (e.g. 6+ hours), you need to cover your end. Not only is it to the benefit of the guild, it is a courtesy on your part to reciprocate the effort put in by the leadership. A failure to do so will result in being sat and possible punishment.
- Listen to instructions.
- Remain quiet in Vent during pulls. You do not call things out unless other wise instructed to before hand. If you die do not announce it in Vent and do not call for a battle resurrection. The raid leader has raid frames too, he can see that you died. If he decides that you are to be ressurected he will call it out.
- Strategy is to be discussed on the forums and not during raid to ensure that we get the most out of our raid hours.
- Play at a level appropriate to your gear or above. If you are given gear you are expected to improve. That said, meters and World of Logs ranks aren't everything: don't pad meters at the expense of the raid.
- Be punctual to raid and accept calendar invites. If you decline or tentative an invite, post on the forums why.
- Be able to admit your mistakes and don't look to blame others.
