New Haven
New Haven, the second largest city in the State, goes by many nicknames. The Armpit, Manufacturing Hell, Where Jobs Go to Die...and only recently, The Melting Pot, are just a few of several colorful nicknames given to the city and its long and...interesting history. New Haven comprises of six distinct districts: suburbia, downtown, the Highlands, New Haven Industrial Park, Haven Coast and the borough of Raven, formerly Raven Village. It is a rather large city and after the War on ANGEL, a serious cleanup was in effect for New Haven and its economy. After a series of rotations involving skilled mayors who actually got their hands dirty to turn the city's infrastructure around to better help the people, the city began to prosper. That only continued for the next three decades after Mayor Cruxis' six-month service in office. Not every golden age lasts forever, though, as new dark horizons began to loom for New Haven. Not all dark horizons are met with open eyes, either...

Blackwood Forest
Not much was known about Blackwood Forest then, and not much is still known now. However, since the fall of ANGEL and the rise of mysterious spikes in aura, many researchers the State over are drawn to this area for, well, research. Rumors abound of a cryptic rift emanating colorful energies, and the researchers wish to scope out the possible truth--if any--behind these rumors. No one can conclude for sure if the relationship between ANGEL's fall and the spike in aura in this area is causal or coincidental. The small village deep in the woods, Foxden, most certainly would hold more information on the matters, although that information is not easily given to non-fox demons, and practically impossible for humans to acquire. Still, one theory is going around, one spawned from HUDSON--a tear to another world. Where it is located, none can say for certain, but it may be related to a theoretical "aether well," another discovery only found recently.

Ioron Mountains
Let's clear up one thing: despite its odd spelling, it is still pronounced "Iron."
The mountain range that lies to the north of New Haven circles around the North Snowplains into the Western Massachusetts Desert, before wrapping around back to the east and stopping suddenly, overlooking a valley close to River City. Known to be home to many powerful freelance demons who hold no allegiance to any guild, city, or demon lord, travelers are warned to stay aware of their surroundings. There are a few safe interstates and state highways to travel, however. They are heavily monitored and patrolled by the United Commonwealth, in conjunction with the three local police departments. As a result, not a whole hell of a lot of humans live out this way, and if they do they are a daring bunch of rascals who I hope have made some log cabins for themselves...somewhere underground...and far away from magma furnaces. |

South Plains
Flat, rolling plains that lie south of New Haven, the South Plains is where all of your farmland, rural small towns and wouldn't ya know it caravans of bandits all reside! Once belonging to a proud race of ferret demons, the plains were taken through forceful means by ANGEL. After the war, it became open territory for real estate agents, caravans and bandits alike. Many people came out this way to settle on new farmland they were looking to claim, while others holed themselves up on older, dated and dead farms.
Barely any trees populate the area, leaving the area wide open. However, stay on alert for any small caverns, large rocks, abandoned buildings and other types of hideouts. Even nice, clean houses with well cared for properties are something to be suspicious of--I hear meth cooking is making a severe comeback this day and age... |

South Islands Resort
For the most part, now, Haven Resort is a beautiful island getaway for six months of the year, while the other six months serves as a quiet home life for occupants of all ages living out this way. You'll find mostly friendly neighborhoods and well-guarded off-the-grid sights to see. Any chances of bumping into any strange wanderers are slim, so long as you avoid the caverns that wind and snake deep beneath the ground. What hides in those mazelike caverns, anyway...?

River City
Once a small community thirty years ago, the city boomed suddenly when it broke away from its dependence on A.N.G.E.L. to become its own self-sufficient society. Everything from civil services to trade jobs are carefully monitored by its AI overseer, former computer engineer Matthew Aiden. Artificial intelligence governs everything, and all the people have to worry about is going to work, coming home form work and spending time with their families. It is regarded by the rest of the State as the ideal utopia.

Taunton Forest
Not as clean or presentable to the public as Leonas County's Blackwood Forest, but Taunton Forest has its own fair share of relaxing scenery, if you count clearings among semi dead trees as relaxing. It's been made known that the residents, be they human or supernatural, hold no regard for the forest or any of its inhabitants. Rocks are turned over carelessly, old campsites are left abandoned complete with fire pits whose embers still smolder, and there are signs that animal cruelty takes place out here as well. There are rumors that a cult frequents here, sacrificing random wildlife in hopes of appeasing dark lords long gone to history. Not exactly great for tourism or general county morale, if you ask me...

Plymouth Lake
To the northeast lies a massive lake. What used to be a sparkling campground for summer goers and winter wonderland for ice skaters is now a dull and stagnant body of water constantly monitored by the Taunton County water department. A dam was built at the edge of the lake where the water flows into the Duxbury Stream, cleaning out the murky mosquito-infested waters. Many rumors abound Lake Plymouth as to why it transformed from a lively, lush green forest to a dull, dead and dreary area full of mysterious beasts and sketchy characters. Some say since the New Haven Museum Incident, an infection quickly spread through the suburbs, destroying the wildlife and all who lived around the area. Some say A.N.G.E.L. still has a functioning laboratory deep in the woods that surround the lake--which could explain sightings of an alleged massive beast who dwells in the lake's dirty depths. Whatever the case, it is advised to travelers to avoid visiting this locale, and if they do happen across the area, to stay sharp and keep a sturdy weapon with them at all times.

Ioron Forge
Some miles west of River City is a massive valley where the Taunton River and the molten rock of Mt. Ioron mix together, creating a foggy and treacherous landscape for travelers and tourists alike. The safest walkways are on the highest cliffs overlooking the eerily beautiful lava lake, fenced off at the edges with glass and metal guard rails, about waist height. Lush green forests surround the massive valley, creating an offset in elements that the Taunton County is famous for in the State. Perhaps it is the cleanest location in the county, as it is patrolled day in and day out by round-the-clock rangers. However, that is considered the civil side of the valley.
Descending from where we stand on the cliffs, the steam from the river and heat of the lava give inmate escapees, rogues of all species and bandits, among other dangerous threats, a proper hideout. Down here, they like to take advantage of the patrolling state officers and Commonwealth Reserves whose main objectives are to keep the tourist section of the valley safe and free of looming threats. Several battles a day break out down here just to keep the overlooking cliffs safe and sound. If you find yourself anywhere other than proper tourist areas, be sure to find a patrolling officer. They could literally save your life! |

Looter's Beach
Looter's Beach used to be one of those clean and prestigious beaches that ran along the south cost of Taunton County. Unfortunately, thirty constant years of steel remnants and continuous pollution from beachgoers turned this once sparkling paradise into a sandy wasteland of metallic ruins and bandit hideouts. Having once been known as Duxbury Beach, the residents both new and old have begun nicknaming it Looter's Beach.
There's not just sand and metal deathtraps littering the area, oh no! Jagged rocks point out of the water and sand like a dentist's nightmare, and many deaths of beings both human and supernatural have been reported out here. Bandits and wanderers have even made their own little fortresses and hideouts out of the beached A.N.G.E.L. ruins that continue to wash up on shore every day. Devices such as auto sentries and airborne drones patrol Looter's Beach like bloodthirsty junkyard dogs and will attack anyone on sight, including others who dwell on the sandy shores. Basing on the environment out here, one can conclude that every day is a new civil war, each with the same purpose: kill, conquer, spread fear, repeat. |

Brockton Tundra
Between the mountains the the edge of the Ioron Forge lies a cold wasteland of dead trees, junkyards and abandoned homes. This, my friends, is the Brockton Tundra. What was once a bustling and busy town over sixty years ago is now a hive of scum and villainy, with bandits and wanderers waiting to prey on anybody regardless of status or sex. Considered to be the redneck territory, only second to the Marshlands outside of Boston, it is advised to all travelers to bring a strong weapon and travel in a reliable group. Otherwise, avoid the freeways and find another way around here at all costs. There are few safe spots, and their safety is considered shaky at best considering residents in these safe spots spend more of their time fighting and defending their territories than anything else.
When traveling here, always be prepared. |

Plymouth Mountains
To the north, interconnecting with the Ioron Mountains, are the kinder Plymouth Mountains. Lush and green on all sides, the mountain range has got to be the most redeeming quality of Taunton County. Known for its calming hikes and prestigious views, the Plymouth Mountains are heavily patrolled by park rangers and a little bit of AI built out in this direction. Keep your eyes peeled for random pitfalls littered throughout the more dangerous parts of the range, as they are known to suddenly dump off unsuspecting hikers into the lava tubes winding and snaking from the Ioron caverns!

Urban Fortress
A heavily guarded area where the skyscrapers still stand, the Urban Fortress stands strong against the blue backdrop of New England skyline. Residents are mostly United Commonwealth personnel and their families, with the occasional State workers, all of whom wear special ID's to differentiate themselves from the rest of the State. The Fortress is so heavily defended, not even a dragon is legally allowed to fly in Boston airspace within twenty miles without being completely and utterly destroyed. When entering the Urban Fortress as a civilian, you will be screened in every way possible, and at every checkpoint.

Cambridge Bunker
While Cambridge on the surface is a beautiful area, the bunker underneath is a whole other story. Comprised of heavily reinforced materials that keep the walls and floors from even budging, the floors from bowing even a single centimeter, and security tighter than the Virgin Mary, the Cambridge Bunker is not meant for civilian eyes, or even personnel's family. At all. Anyone who breaks in will be met with extreme prejudice. The Commonwealth soldiers here are given the highest security clearance, and are trained to kill any intruder on sight. The only way civilians would ever be allowed into this bunker would be by going through several levels in the chain of command, and even then access is not guaranteed, no matter how good the reason is.

Quincy Marshlands
South of Boston are the infamous marshlands, nestled away in what is now a large, wet ditch. Over the decades, the swamps slowly started to take over the quaint little town of Quincy, making it harder to navigate by conventional means. This led residents to begin devising their own methods of transportation, primarily by using their fishing boats. The waters are deep, and roads had to be adjusted or outright rebuilt in order to maintain traffic flow between Boston and other cities in the State.
On top of worrying about creatures lurking in the marshlands' depths, travelers are also warned to be on the lookout for cannibalistic humans. That's right...some isolation has pushed some humans into isolation, enough to eat each other, and lure unsuspecting travelers to their untimely deaths... |

Bourne
The suburban island of the Striper Isles, Bourne boasts clean streets and a very low crime rate. Everyone who resides here is friendly, and cutting through for most travelers can be quite a culture shock from the normal gruff means of survival out in the State mainland. All residents know each other, so if one thing goes wrong, it's only a matter of short time before the proper authorities are alerted. Be on your best behavior, kiddies! The worst thing you want to do is anger a Hell-born soccer mom demon!

Sagamore
Considered to be the more "urban" of the Striper Isles, Sagamore has larger buildings and more industrialized areas condensed onto a single mass of land. On one side, east end is the residential area, consisting of triple decker homes and condominiums. On the west end are warehouses, manufacturing plants and two power plants found on the north and south ends of the island, drawing power from the water. These two power plants are enough to power the whole west side of the Striper Isles.

Buzzards Point
Mainly a vacation spot for mainlanders trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of the State, Buzzard's Point features many pristine beaches, a shopping district and even an arts center. Another isle that is under heavy security by both local police force and the Commonwealth Guard, it is wise to keep in line and not act out. They -are- armed with the proper equipment to handle any threat, including dangerous demons, feral werewolves and a troupe of mad human bandits. When entering, identification is required at the gate.

Wood's Hole
Known as the "Engineering District" of the Striper Isles, the greatest minds of the State come here to create and innovate. Many inventions have come from this isle over the past century, ranging from civil submarines capable of plunging depths over 1000 feet to aura-inhibiting barriers made for small towns scattered across the Western Desert. There was even once upon a time when Wood's Hole was funded directly by A.N.G.E.L. Those days are long gone now, and have since been funded by Archives' and Hell alike. The scientists residing on the isle have no real allegiance except to those who are the highest bidder. That is not to say, they can be swayed through persuasions of other methods...

U.C. Naval Island
The United Commonwealth has a strategically placed naval base on this island, allowing its troops to patrol the Striper Isles in an organized and tactical fashion and keep tabs on the Fallen Province at the "tip" of the island cluster. While it is a military outpost, it still does offer a society friendly to civilians who once served in the Commonwealth, as well as spouses of Commonwealth personnel. You can find all your necessities here, and further east of the island is a military industrial park where, every year, new ships and subs are welded together and pushed out to sea, complete with strong and capable staff. The only means to access the Island is through a toll bridge, monitored 25/8 by strict security personnel. The coast is heavily patrolled and guarded, and the troops are trained to shoot on sight with pinpoint killing accuracy should the need arise.

Considered the "Downtown" part of the Isles, New Hyannis is busy all hours of the day. Winding freeways, apartment complexes and what can only be considered "dumpsterfires" -- it's actually just roadside campfires -- are what come to mind when people discuss New Hyannis. You can find your main police station here, along with your other civil service stations. There is also high gang activity, and by gang activity, I really mean the smallest of misdemeanors like graffiti or disturbing the peace. If anyone louder or more rambunctious came to New Hyannis, the isle is in for a big surprise as to what constitutes "crime" ...

Fallen Isle
Not too much about the Fallen Isle is known except that many heinous experiments are conducted here. The island itself doesn't appear to be inhabited, yet there is a lone shack that stands in the middle of a large clearing, found in the northeast part of a densely packed forest. However, these are simply rumors, as those who have entered the island have never been known to return. Anyone who has survived is either dubbed a liar and shunned, or deemed insane and taken to the asylum. Whatever the case, Fallen Isle is avoided even by the United Commonwealth. Probably a bad idea...

Hell
Considered to be the Demon Plane of existence, Hell was once upon a time ruled by the infamous demon king, Lucifer. Ruled now by Fox God Itachi Hiro Kumaria, and Wolf King Damian Apollo Cruxis, II, the demon plane saw a critical turnaround in living conditions for its indigenous people while still remaining the punishment realm for those who have sinned and never once repented. Hell is hot, perhaps hotter than the hottest desert on Earth, and any non-demonic beings would only last down here for no more than four hours. The main city is the Black City of Gehenna, which is now a prosperous and otherwise peaceful city for its citizens of all classes. A large eco dome was built over the city to emulate the human plane's weather conditions so that Hellion demons could finally experience Earth pleasures without leaving their home plane. Aside from the changes in the urban areas, the Wastelands are still riddled with afrits, bandits, stray demons and gigantic beasts with severe aura sickness. If ever you find yourself lost down here in the Wastelands, keep your head on a swivel and your senses on high alert. If the wilderness doesn't get you, the heat and environment certainly will.

Elcadia
The realm of Dragons is a frozen wasteland even thirty years later. Not much has changed, except that the nephilim have been driven out by the Dragons and a mysterious white haired man. The only means of access is still being physically pulled through your own mind. The landscape, for the most part, is still relatively uncharted, and the amount of time a being stays in this realm can vary. Anywhere between an hour and five minutes to eternity have been clocked in by many goers who were pulled into this realm. The never-ending tundra is enough to drive a traveler mad, and the lack of beings other than Dragons will put anyone on a permanent edge.
