It finally happened. The Solstice Temple crumbled and broken to the ground. Hopes were broken and dreams crushed. If it wasn't bad enough the shaman had been killed by the Dark Winged Beast, now they lost any advantage against her. Grant Lyon was dying, almost dead to be exact and the vultures were swarming for a grab at the seat of power. The hero of Lyonesse, Sayndar Lammecoil, now a broken and dead cell. Rin had taken out the key players for a saving grace. Their plans succumbed to destruction and death. There was no hope to save them. Or was there? It was 1678AY, 4 February and a stranger had come to Lyonesse. The only thing known about this figure was the name of gave, Serphus. And it's plan, to rebuild the temple. However, it would not be the same temple. Solstice was no more and in this era of change, Serphus knew that Lyonesse would need a stronger temple of it wished to keep up with Athentha, even punish it for its transgressions. And it would be renamed. The workers promised to it were humans and elves. Easy to be manipulated. Serphus had watched for a few days as they began building the temple, how hard they worked. But, in this, something happened. The workers had begun to eat the ore. A new ore called the Black Heart Mirror Ore. Serphus had the workers place it into the brick and mortar of the temple itself. When the workers began to eat it, the temple was half built. Now it laid almost abandoned as the workers just say there getting fat with ore. Serphus planned this to bring the beast to him. He wanted the girl, a puppet to his needs. The ore, was not just ore. It was like a seed but worse. |

"We are doomed." Ebony said as she looked at Ambrosia. "The temple has fallen, Kogal is dead. Rin is either turning people to ore creatures or monsters like her. What can we do? She's even captured Dragoon's knight commander Zenith." Ambrosia sighed. Ebony had a point. But they had Vex, and the elders. But she shook her head. "Do not fret Ebony, we haven't surrendered yet. Rin may have decimated us in numbers but we still have a chance. We have Vex. He can help us since he's tangled--" "You're a fool." Came the voice of Zul, first ranking officer. "He's too close to her that he won't divulge how to stop her. He rather us did to her than dig up that past." Ebony muttered, she didn't like Zul. He was so arrogant and cruel. He was only here because he could get the job done. And that was the only reason he was here. |
