A clusterfuck does not begin to describe tonight.

It was all precipitated by the two main targets, Mike and Coach, winning Immunity. Then, Mike, during Tribal Council, tells us he's going to pre-vote and take off. Thing is...we have NO idea who he pre-voted for.

Which makes it pretty tough to force a tie.

So, as a result, to me it made NO sense to still try to force a tie. It was likely a foregone conclusion that Colby would be gone, because we didn't know how Mike voted. So, tried to get James and Frank on board with a Colby vote. Frank got on board...and James didn't.

One of two things happened: Either Mike voted for Frank and Colby voted for Dave, or vice versa. We are all thinking that it was the first option, and this was Mike's attempt to screw us over. But now Mike is back wondering what happened, so was it the second option? It may have been.

And James is freaking out about why we did the vote the way we did. So I very well could have screwed things up. I don't know. FAIL. Oh, and Dave is wondering who brought up his name. First, I'm pretty sure it was me; Second, I can't say he was a Plan B, without getting Coach all angered up.

So, I'm afraid I'm not long for this game. Bad move on my part.

W E L L . . .

1) After how that vote went down, are there two "sides" within your tribe, or are we a unified unit with a goal in mind?

2) How do you think things are progressing with the other half of the game?

3) Which player or players on the other game side are you most looking forward to chatting with whenever you get an opportunity?

I think we are still two sides, to be honest. Ace seems welcoming and wanting to work with me, and might even keep me over Coach. I think he wants to keep the team strong, but only to advance the Katorgans. But I told him I was will to be a fifth with his Core Four, and he countered saying he understands why I might feel uncomfortable settling for fifth or sixth. I did catch the "or sixth," but not sure if that was out of caution for me using his words against him, or if he does indeed hold Coach...or Frank...ahead of me.

But at this point, just hoping to win enough challenges to make it to a shuffle or merge without going to Tribal Council.

2) How do you think things are progressing with the other half of the game?

I don't care too much at this point. I'm struggling to stay afloat here. But we managed to make it so three of the four women in the minority on the other side had immunity, and the fourth unprotected woman went home. That's pretty telling, and seems they are still split along old Tribal lines.

3) Which player or players on the other game side are you most looking forward to chatting with whenever you get an opportunity?

Linda seems to have her shit together. And now Deena, given that I gave her Immunity. I guess Crystal would round out that group.

Let's sweeten the pot: Give me a statement about every player that is on your combined tribe. ;)

Unfortunately, don't have as much fuel now, and I'm on the run.

As I was telling Jamie...the Old Baikal was like a sitcom, with no shortage of material. Now, the game has finally started...and I'm the red shirt sent down from the Enterprise to scout ahead. Things do not bode well, but will try to get to your little game tomorrow. :P

A WHO'S WHO OF NEW BAIKAL: In which a not-so-humble, nicotine-addicted lunatic tries to play the voice of reason and make coherent assessments of his new tribe

1) Ace: The calm, coherent leader of Old Katorga (because that's how you honestly come off). Reminds me a lot of the relationship that Claire and Locke had in the LOST: Survivor game...two people from opposing tribes that can connect on some level.

2) Hunter: Open, willing to talk...a little of a "second-in-command" vibe. Almost getting the sense that Ace told him I was freaking out that his tribemates weren't chatting me up, and Hunter reached out. Still hard to read...but Ace says he's a good guy.

3) Jamie: Knows the game, but hides it under the guise of a "partying" character. Along with Hunter, has tried to make me feel welcome in the new tribe. But also a little hard to read and connect with at all but the most superficial level.

4) Dave: Friendly, but on edge. Keeps asking why he was targeted, what he did to cause that, etc. Have tried to tell him that there was no reason as far as I can tell...that his name came up at some point as a Plan B to Coach, but it was just tossing a name out there for NO specific reason, and I don't think he's buying it...even though this was the truth (as far as I know it). So...we're playing nice now (I think), but can see him wanting his revenge at some point. Even though I didn't vote for him.

5) Coach: A little off his rocker. Not a great social game...hasn't chatted with me much, until after the challenge, when I told him we'd all voted for Colby, and he said I was telling little white lies. Kind of pissed me off, actually...I had THOUGHT I got James to vote Colby, but didn't. So...I can't read him and still want him gone...just no idea who, if anyone, is protecting him.

6) Frank: What a rollercoaster, went from liking Frank, to having to work around Frank, to targeting Frank, to having to play second fiddle to Frank (I really think Old Katorga feels tighter to him than they do me). I'm fine with that for now...but means it would be very tough to target him before some sort of shuffle or merge. But from the message he sent to James, he is doubting my loyalty (which he should), but for now...I have his back.

7) Mike: Flippy McFlipperson. Supposedly most of Old Katorga can't stand him and want to target him, but unsure for 100% certainty if this is true. Still have no idea if he voted for Dave or Frank this last time...but am inclined to believe now he voted for Dave. He had a complete change in attitude post-merge. I'd never heard him go off on anyone, but he started vocally hating Ace; he was seldom on the Mountain before, and now he's there all the time; I'd be lucky to get one message every two days from him, but the night of the challenge he sent me like three messages when he got back online complaining how I was ignoring him (when I wasn't). He's all over the place...but he knows his shit in challenges, it seems.

8) James: HOLY FLAMING CRAP NUTS. It seems that EVERY single message I've got from James in the past two days can be summarized in three statements: 1) I still don't understand why you voted for Colby, because I would NEVER have done that; 2) I would never vote for you and still have your back because that's how I am; 3) Please tell me that you want to continue working together, and if you have my back or not. I love the guy, and he and Colby were my two tightest allies...but this has GOT to stop. I thought he had calmed down based on a note I got yesterday, but now he was back on today with "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me what's going on and how come everything has changed," etc. Again, basing it on past experience, very much starting to sound like the Claire/Hurley relationship from LOST: Survivor.

9) Colby (The Departed): This sucked. But it seems my distrust of Mike overpowered by allegiance to Colby. That having been said, Colby was my strongest alliance-mate in this game, and it sucked to see him go. But without knowing who Mike voted for (and I was convinced Mike was screwing us over), I legitimately did not think we had the votes to save Colby. Where this gets sticky is that James is playing the "I would still never vote for him!!!" card. I've tried to tell James that, regardless of alliances, if it seems a foregone conclusion someone is going home, it pays to vote with the majority to keep the target off their back. But I can't just tell him that "Yeah, if everyone is voting for you, I will be, too." But I have told him that, if everyone is voting for me and I'm definitely going home, that he needs to vote with the majority.

Random side note: I am a little sick of Frank complaining about how the game's twists haven't been fair. He's railed against the fact that we now have to battle the women's team (it should have just been 16 people, like the show!) and the fact that eight people got immunity was not something he liked (you never see anything like that on the show!).

Please. Hush up. The adults are trying to speak.

James has calmed down a bit. Trying to use humor to diffuse the situation. We had this exchange earlier. Was amused by it, so copied it here:

James: "We are a new family and we need to work as one family...well, of course, with some nuts."

Me: "Dude...you SO nailed it. It's like a dysfunctional family Thanksgiving, and we're stuck at the kids table with Mike, Frank and Coach."

Agreed 100%. I'm very tired of reading his PMs where he claims combining the games "is a twist that sucks."

Can't say if he's played before or not, but if I were him, I would be glad to be in one of the most epic Brobst games EVER. :D

He thinks the two games were separate and should have just played out on their own. I don't think he fully realizes that this has ALWAYS been the setup of this game. They are not two separate games. They are two phases that didn't know about each other and combined in a brand new phase.

I was wondering what was so epic about this when it began. I was like...um...okay, 16 "Alpha Males." Oooookay. :)

I'm betting dollars to donuts that I haven't played with Frank in LOST: Survivor before. Can't see ANYONE in that game taking that POV. Still find it amazing that so many people got cast...even if everyone I knew from LOST: Survivor got cast, that only accounts for 13 people (if you remove Claire, Sun and Ana Lucia). There are still 18 people I don't know!

Is there some sort of quality vs. quantity commentary in there? I'm not tellin'.
