well you know

So who would rather like last time win the CC and played shit ever since, or loose the CC and play well in the league?

Their defending was dreadful today. I feel unusually confident about our game against them.

What a day at the lane. For me, wins against Chelsea are the most satisfying of the lot, and to do it so well, so properly and I'm such an amazing atmosphere takes a he'll of a lot of beating.

What an atmosphere today - we outplayed them until the last 15 mins, which left me more twitchy & nervous than a heroin addict needing a "fix". Great performance all round, Modric & Gomes were especially brilliant.

Modric has pissed on Ballack twice in a year, once at the Euros and again today, so much so that Ballack tried to kick him out of the game.

RE SuperHeurelho; It's unfair that talented foreign players like Modric get the buffer of "he's new to the league, give him time to adapt to the pace and physicality", or a young exciting winger such as Lennon has "he needs to learn when to cross it, he'll get that in time" to protect him, but a goalkeeper like Gomes not given the time to adapt to dealing with the high number of long balls and crosses that you get in the Prem compared to the continent. Admittedly, the impact is much worse if a goalkeeper messes up, but still - he's nowhere near the clown so many claimed he is. The results of working with Parks are there for all to see.

Good point about Gomes, never though about it like that.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if what Gately says is right to be honest.

Making everyone go through Liverpool Street is basically asking for trouble - wouldn't be surprised is some dickheads kicked off.
was a minibus parked outside the entrance to the park lane lower turnstiles.

I was very impressed by the Police today.

Was outside the corner pin from 2.20 to 3pm and only saw one arrest, Chelsea fans and tottenham fans mixed up and a general frustrated attitude. Was a miracle tbf

Does history relate the outcome? Did they remove the car? We arrived at the corner of park lane and the high road at about 2 andcrowds were already gathering, v pleased there was no trouble. Very much the heaviest police presence ofthe season...

what a fantastic day - said we would win as I was going to see the match.

Had a lots of chavskis singing their heads off in the train from L/Pool street and so I said to them you won't be singing on the way home tonight - they thought I was mad and humoured me - but I had the last laugh

Fair point, but i think goalkeepers have little to adapt to, which ever league they go, they will have to deal with corners, crosses, long shots etc. I can't see it making that much difference, as long as they are a quality keeper the will be able to do well wherever.

Where as somebody like modric, has come to a much quicker, higher quality league, playing slightly out of position etc. there is alot more he has to adapt to I would've thought.

Communication was probably a problem early on for Gomes though, his english is pretty good now isn't it?
