Maybe it really will be that much then. We'll know soon enough.

Yeah... $250 is ridiculous. I know the Wii was that expensive on release, but that was a CONSOLE.

That's expensive for a handheld isn't it?
It is expensive for a handheld. But it's probably because of the possible HD gameplay and the 3D capability of the system. I actually expected it to be a lot more expensive than this, but it's good that it should be only around $250, I had also heard a rumor of the 3DS coming out in March of 2011.

The more tiny chips there are inside the more money you have to pay out the a$$

Yeah, I would understand the pricing, but it still is a handheld...

I don't know if it'd be worth that much or not. The DS has the capabilities of the Nintendo 64, if the 3DS doesn't at least have some of the potential as the other consoles then I don't feel as if it's worth that price.

Well, you have to watch out for what it is packing. The non glasses 3D capability, and HD quality.

I am usually careful with my games, hell I have several disk games, and they are just fine after about.....several years.

Me too. I keep them in a CD wallet...

Mine are somewhat scattered. Out of the way, but I have trouble finding them from time to time. I really should get a CD wallet.

I like having CD wallets because you can take your entire collection at once without having multiple disks.
