They'd only sue me for "soft tissue trauma injuries" after I pressed a cloth to the wound and saved them from bleeding to death. If the victim bleeds to death in my house, the family of said victim sues me.

Okay, this is where you're A: Wrong, and B: Overreacting to an extreme level, I don't know what you did, but it can't be that bad. I don't want to sound like an asshole, but first off, because of the Good Samaritan Act, you CAN'T get sued, like, it's impossible for them to sue you if you damaged anything trying to save their life, the courts wont allow it. Now that that's out of the way, let's address the issue at hand, What happened to get you like this? I feel depreciated sometimes too, but there is that chance that there was reason behind what happened.
