*cue "One Night In Bangkok"*

Akellen Morek regretted this newest assignment. He understood its importance, alright, and the pay was good. It was the locale that was miserable. If there was a more wretched hive of scum and villainy than the planet Harkoum, Akellen would be genuinely surprised. Colonized before the founding of the Earth-Cardassia Alliance, the planet was first used for mining, before being taken over by the Obsidian Order. However, when the Order abandoned the planet, it became a haven for smugglers, bounty hunters, pirates, and the rest of the scum of the galaxy. Even the Shan had left this world alone. Sighing, he took another swig from an inferior ale, and cringed. THIS was why he hated Harkoum. Not the criminals - Akellen could easily handle them. Not the scorching twin suns, the acidic nightly downpours, or the giant worms. The low-quality booze. Disgusted, he left the bar, and walked out into the alley.

He didn't even get fifty feet when he heard movement. Spinning around, he saw five people approach him. Three humans - two male, one female - , a male Rigelian, and a female Cerinian, not one of them was older than twenty-five.

"Well, well, well." One of the human males - apparently the leader - said. "What have we here? Looks like someone's intruding on our territory. Shall we teach him what happens to people who enter the Solar Sharks' turf without permission?"

"Back off, dingus." Akellen said. "You have no idea who your messing with." The leader laughed.

"Well, it seems that we have ourselves a tough guy here. Alright boys and girls. Shall we - "

He never got to finish that sentence. Before he knew it, Akellen's fist had found his head as its target. The man collapsed into a heap. Grabbing his disruptor, Akellen fired two stun blasts, which hit the other human man and the Cerinian woman, knocking them out before they even knew what hit them. The Rigelian reached for his phaser, only to have Akellen's boot hit him square across the jaw. The human woman drew a knife to avenge her fallen comrades, only to have a stun blast hit her on the chest.

Hearing groaning, Akellen turned around to see the Rigelian still conscious.

"Wh... where the hell did you learn to fight like that?"

"Basic training."

"With who?"

"The Priests of Rathma". Akellen said, before walking away. The Rigelian lay there, dumbfounded. They'd just fought a Necromancer, and lived. A man who could have very easily killed them all, and yet didn't. The Rigelian had little time to appreciate the irony before darkness claimed him.

The Cardassian eyed up the Cerinian vixen and her "friend".

"Just taking care of some thugs." Akellen replied, truthfully. Whatever species this new alien was, he definitely hadn't seen it before. Or even heard about it. Considering that the Eibon Foundation had knowledge of species that the general public had never heard of, this was one hell of an accomplishment "Also, who, and what is he?"

"Government work. And the less you know about what it involves, the better." Akellen whipped out a tricorder, and began scanning Khrillian. "Sorry, standard practice for First Contact situations. My employers would chew me out if I didn't."

"Wha... what?" Akellen shifted the tricorder over to Alex. "Half Cerinian, half... something else. Two First Contacts in one day." He sighed. "So, what brings you two to the cesspool of the galaxy?"

"Not yet. And the agency I work for requires... certain skills, as well as extreme loyalty." Akellen began. "I highly doubt that they'll hire two mercenaries from the alleys of Harkoum, especially considering we've never come into contact with your species before. I'd feel better off hiring those - " A loud crash interrupted him. Turning around, Akellen ran into the alley.
