Highly unlikely. They're just wearing the funkiest footwear I ever saw (even for 1993) :P

Their legs and feet look normal here:

If you look at Fox's feet, you'll see why some people ask about augmented feet for the Cornerian pilots:

But how can you fit an entire Anthro's ankle in a small joint like that? It's like 2" in diameter!
Maybe his feet are just paws! Or his feet actually end at the bottom of the trouser, and they rest on the top of the "shoe", held in place with sandal-like straps. Like I said, funky fashion style... xD

I think it's just bad art... to be honest
I agree! Though Four-eyed Vulpine also has a good point, but for practical purposes, I say that it is just bad/rushed art.

That's true too.

Sorry, I tend to have a scientific mindset about everything, including fiction. ^_^;

That's cool.

I tend to do that too.

I always found those little metal feet kinda creepy on the SNES Star Fox character furry models. I wondered, were those just the bases to hold up the furry models? Were the feet never supposed to be in the photos, were the photos originally only meant to be from the waist up? Maybe so.

Oh crap, you're right! I never actually tallied that before. Thanks. Yeah, that would be awesome if they did make life size furry models of the Star Fox Team, nice thought on that! I want a life sized Krystal model. :D

I would say it was just a rushed artwork they made with Fox in the old SNES game... glad they changed that mistake in N64 models. Real fur models would be cool, but I stick to the more 'anime' styled version of the characters...
That sounds about right! I'd say that the best animation is Star Fox Assault models. SF Adventures had awesome fur detailing though.

Of course you do. *facepaw*

So? xD (By the way, I was wondering how to do that *facepaw* icon)

I know, I figured it out when I quoted your post with that icon in it, thanks. Back OT, a friend of mine is making a simulated copy of the "Augmented metal legs" as a form of boots, the "metal" is actually some form of latex.
