So, I recently obtained a used SNES copy of Wings 2: Aces High, a World War 1 Flying Aces themed video game. You play as several pilots for the small squadron of the R.A.F. There's dogfights, bombing, and strafing/air raid missions that are essentially suicide missions. You must risk life and limb to earn promotions, and be able to upgrade your pilots. There's a password system, but it's complicated as hell...

Play Control:
Disturbing Accurate, when it comes to the World War 1 Sopwith Camel Biplane. It is accurate, but hard as hell to fly. This is NOT for Flyboys. You stall out easily, just like a real biplane, and the enemies have better planes than you (not fair, is it?). Then again, the Austro-Prussian-Hungarian powers back then had the better planes than the alliance...yet the alliance still won (God knows really how).

"You beat us! We got better planes!"

*gets shot down*

"This can't be happening!"

Good music, good visual effects, damn decent graphics for a 16-bit system.

Overall a good, yet frustrating at times game. If you fail a mission more than once, you're either dishonorably discharged, or demoted to dogfights. Failures result from missing your target(s) in the Bombing and Strafing/Air Raid missions.

If you hold the L and R buttons at the start, you can have radar for your plane (you amateur :P )

Also, if you're really good, i.e. win a dogfight in limited time with limited shots, you can earn a medal (done that).

This game is also known as "Blazing Skies" in Britain
