  • One of the few good things about Coruscant was the fact she didn't have to go far to get out from under the watchful eyes of her parents. True, she didn't live with them, but nevertheless, she was not free to do anything. Being somewhat of a socialite, it restricted the things she could do. She didn't want any part of that life, but she couldn't escape it. It was public knowledge that she was the daughter of Corverin Luos, the senator of Firrerre, and so anything that she did would be public knowledge. Nor did it help being an investigator for the Federation. Nothing in her life was private no matter how hard she tried to keep it that way.

Another good thing was the clubs that laid beyond the surface of upper-class Coruscant. Down there, she was nobody and that was the way she liked it. No one knew her or her occupation. Nobody cared. Most reporters tended to stay away from the clubs which was fine with her. She wasn't going to shed a tear. So much of her life was spent trying avoid the press for her father's sake. She didn't plan on becoming a laughing stock.

While musing in her thoughts, Silveren collided with someone. "I am so sorry," she quickly apologized before catching the person's face.

Kyron hadn't been granted leave, though he hadn't been ordered to return to duty either. The Federation Soldier felt that he needed a night to relax and enjoy himself after spending the last year in prison. Plus, a good night would likely help him get all of his stress out and let him focus completely on his revenge on getting his rank back.

He walked through the lower levels of Coruscant fluidly, no one knew him here and he liked that. It was relieving that he could walk around and no one recognize him. Most reporters avoided the area and Kyron didn't object to that. The last thing he wanted was some snooping reporter to find him, recognize him, and begin begging him for an interview.

He walked fluidly...., until a random female bumped into him, throwing his motion off. His first thought was to release some frustration in the form of a complete rant filled with swear words. The thought disappeared as he caught the scent from her hair. It was familiar, far too familiar for it to be anyone else. His eyes confirmed his thoughts. Silveren.... He said to himself.

Oh, the history between them was that of cliche nature. The two met in the academy and grew close. All too close as they eventually shared one passionate night with each other. "It's alright, Silveren. I forgive you." He wondered how she would take running into him.

  • That voice was one she knew quite well, so well she could clearly imagine the face that went with it without having to look. Silveren was quite positive if she had had a drink in her hand, it would have became quick friends with the floor. She hadn't expected on seeing him here, or ever for that matter. Especially after what had transpired a year before. "K-Kyron?" Silveren stammered, finally looking at his face. Seeing his face brought back the memories of their unfortunate relationship. He hadn't changed much since Silveren last saw him, which was at his trial a year ago. She had ended their relationship much sooner than that. Silveren had tried to talk him out of the mission that cost him his rank and squad, but he refused. Despite the feelings she still felt, she ended it. He became her best friend after her first two years at the Academy, and after awhile became much more than just her friend. Silveren quickly pushed those memories back. That train had long since boarded.

Regaining her composure and balance, Silveren stood up straight and tall, but not enough to reach him eye level. She'd remember him teasing her about her height, even though she was only half a foot shorter, but right now she felt about a good foot shorter. She was unprepared for this physically and mentally. At this particular moment, Silveren was at a loss for words. She remembered the trail, but wasn't quite sure what she believed. A part of her knew that he was innocent, but the evidence had suggested otherwise. Nothing could surpass the amount of guilt she felt at that moment for not believing him like a true friend. Without another word, she made her way to a table in the back. Silveren was not quite sure if her legs would keep working if she stood in front of him any longer.

Kyron could see it in her eyes. She hadn't expected to see him here. To be honest, he hadn't expected to see her either. He looked upon her, the woman he'd fallen so hard for. Her face hadn't changed at all, the expression sure, but nothing else. His mind flashed back to his trial, the last time he'd seen her. It wasn't the best of circumstances, to say the least. Her face then, he remembered, so stern, her eyes looking right through him. That expression that haunted his memories, it never changed, even as Kyron argued his innocence to the Federation Court. The fatal moment as Kyron was escorted out of the trial room, the moment he'd looked back at her over his shoulder. The stern expression, the hurt in her eyes, it was the only time Kyron had ever regretted anything. This was one of the things that fueled his thirst for revenge. The mission had cost him his rank, his squad, and the woman he was in love with. The one thing revenge would never make right, the one thing that he wanted most, that his revenge wouldn't give back to him.

He wanted to speak but she walked away. He walked in the opposite direction, to the bar. He ordered two drinks and turned around; staring in her direction as he waited. Finally, the drinks were ready. Kyron took them into his hands and slowly walked toward her. It seemed like the walk to the table took an eternity, his mind playing out their conversation multiple times all the while. He stopped for a moment, hesitant to approach her. Did she really believe him a traitor? Did she still care for him at all? Would she even talk to him?

Shaking the thoughts he continued toward her, finally arriving at the table. He sat a drink in front of her and held onto his, "Silveren...," Kyron said as he sat across from her. He couldn't find the words to say to her. Were there any? "How have you been?"

  • Silveren knew that just wlking away was not going to fix the fact the he was here and that he spoke to her, but it made her feel a little better about herself. However, Silveren knew she couldn't run away from it forever. She had to get it resolved. Nothing could change how awful she felt in that moment that she looked at him. Memories from two years ago came flooding back to her despite her best efforts to push them back. Kyron knew Silveren better than anyone did, mentally and physically, and vice versa. Silveren had few regrets in her life, and Kyron wasn't one of them. Her only regret when it came him was the guilt she felt for not believing him. She wasn't there for him when he needed her the most.

She noticed out the corner of her eye when hesitated to come closer. She didn't blame. Silveren wasn't sure how the conversation would play out, but she hoped she could get rid of the feelings; they were unwanted. With a slight sigh and a hand through her hair, Silveren mentally prepaired herself for whatever came next. Kyron sat down across from her and slid her a drink. How have you been? Silveren looked at the drink given to her before answering. She wasn't quite sure what to say. "Good, I suppose," Silveren answered, still studying the drink. She was quite if she want it or not. She had come here to drink on her own, not with someone else, and especially not Kyron. A few moments later, Silveren finally looked at him. "Kyron, I am so sorry," she apologized. upon saying that, it felt like a huge weight had lifted off shoulders.

Kyron heard her words loud and clear, even with the dance music playing in the background. He wasn't sure how to respond, really. She said the words he'd wanted to hear ever since the day of his trial. It wasn't all he wanted to hear from her, but it relieved him some to know she was sorry about her not standing by him at the trial. "No need to keep apologizing, Sil. I forgave you a long time ago."

Kyron thought back once more. The argument they'd had before he'd left for his mission. She had begged him and begged him not to take it. He went against her advice, even after she had told him that if he left, she wouldn't be waiting when he got back. Kyron didn't have the chance to find that out, though. The next time he saw her when he walked out was the trial. His mind zoomed back into reality.

"I'm the one who should be apologizing, Silveren." Kyron said, the truth finally coming forth, "I left after you begged me not to. I left when you wanted me to stay." He paused, taking a drink of his shot, "I walked out because I was more worried about my next promotion than I was about us." He explained, finishing off his shot, "And for that, I am sorry. I've regretted nothing more than walking out on you. I should've stopped when you threatened not to be home when I came back. Not a day or night goes by that I haven't thought about that night, Silveren. I'm sorry." And there it was. The truth of why he truly left. Blinded by the chance to advance to another rank faster than anyone else in history and he took it, forsaking his own relationship for his job.

Silveren's heart skipped a beat. She wasn't expecting for him to forgive her. Not in a million years. It made her feel ten times better knowing this. She hadn't forgiven herself, and she didn't think she ever would. She knew that if it was her in his place, it wouldn't be so easily forgotten. Ever. "Atleast you did," she said morosely. "I still haven't forgiven myself." Silveren looked at the drink in front of her once more, considering drinking it. With one fluid movement, she raised it to her lips and downed the contents. The alcohol burned it's way down, scorching her throat. She needed that. "I don't think I ever will." Silveren still had feelings for Kyron. Seeing him again re-opened the old wounds she had spent weeks trying to stitch back together. She clearly remember the hell she caught from the press. Their relationship wasn't so secret, but rather public. And when he was sentenced, she knew things would be difference. It taught her that her life wasn't as private as she thought. Everyone thought that she believed he was innocent when she appeared at his trial. Silveren mentally shook her head and cleared away the memories.

First the first time since she sat down, Silveren looked Kyron in the eyes. "Kyron, I want to start over. I wanted everything to be left in the past and let's start new," she said, trying to make this whole thing less awkward for both parties. While she knew everything wasn't going to be completely normal, she also realized that it wasn't going to the same either. Going back to being friends was hard, especially when their relationship was once physical, but it was what she needed.

Kyron listened to her speak. He agreed, mostly, but could they do that? Could they start new? And even if they did, could they stay that way? "Start new? Leave everything behind?" Kyron asked, already knowing that's what she meant, "Could we pull that off? Silveren you know more about me than anyone else in the Galaxy." Kyron said firmly, "But I think I could live with starting new." He finally agreed. Kyron's mind raced with new and old thoughts mixed together.

His feelings for her were still there, but he had to supress them. He pushed the thoughts of her to the back of his mind and instead remembered his true focus at the moment. He was going to go back to Anaxes. He was going to find the man who framed him and cost him everything. And he was going to kill him. But could he do so alone? Another Federation Soldier would be excellent, but Silveren would be exquisite help. She knew Kyron's tendencies, she knew his best strategies and she could help to execute the mission perfectly. He wondered what her response would be if he asked. "Listen, Silveren, I'm glad I ran into you." Kyron said, "Not just because of this whole conversation, but because I need some help. My next mission is a tall order and I need a Second-In-Command." He explained, "I need your help, Sil. You know my strats and tendencies. You're the only one who can help me on this one."

Silveren did know a lot about Kyron. She had seen sides of him that most people never got to experience. But then again, he knew a lot about her. It would certainly be hard to start anew, but she believed that they could do it. However, she was doubtful if she would ever be able to completely supress the feelings she still harbored for him. It would certainly make things awkward for the both of them. Silveren was unsure if she could even do it. It was her idea, but sometimes things were just easier said then done. The past two years couldn't be forgotten in the blink of an eye no matter how hard they tried. Those memories would still be there, lingering in the back of their minds.

Then Kyron brought a mission he needed her help on. Silveren wasn't stupid; she knew what this mission was for. It was for revenge on the man that cost him everything he held dear, including her. She was honored that he thought so much of her, but Silveren wasn't a soldier. She had no intrest in ranks, but simply serving. However, Silveren realized that that promised to start over and leave everything in the past, including the whole Anaxes fiasco. "I'll help, just tell me when," Silveren answered. Maybe tghis would set everything right.

Kyron smiled when she accepted his offer. He called for another round of drinks and waited until they arrived to say more. Maybe this mission could help him set things right with her, maybe not. Whatever the risks, Kyron would go for it. The rewards simply were too much for him to let go.

Finally the drinks arrived and Kyron spoke, "We leave at dawn."
