Galactic Federation Global Mod
Name: No (Humanoids, who generally lacking mandibles, can't speak his name, and spelling it out is an insult.)
Homeworld: Roche Asteroids
Nickname/Alias: No, Doctor, Dr Nonune de Konsequence, Dr Noth Wrath
Date of Birth: 22 ABY

Faction: Mandalore
Rank: Personal Advisor for Mando'ade Technological Advancement (He prefers the title, Q, no one really knows why.)

Species: Verpine
Height: 1.9 Meters
Weight: 125

Hair Color: Spines and attenae are a deep green fading to black at the end
Skin Color: Dark Green

Appearance:
No stands a pretty standard one point nine meters and has an average build for his race. Which means he is practically skelatal to other races. His outer shell is a deep emerald green that fades to a dark black at the ends of his antennae and spines. Deep black insectoid complex eyes dominate a face who's only other feature seems to be several large mandibles. Well over a billion small photo receptors in each eye give away no sign of a soul or intelligence that most with more human optic nerves can seem to find. Those that do find these things are often disturbed by what they see, an alien intellect that may in some ways be like them, but is clearly not thinking on the same lines as them.

No is followed nearly constantly by several small droids, though often most of these can not be seen. These range from small bee-like droids, which pollinate various flowers which when ground down and combined with the fungus Magenge make up his specialized diet, to a pair of custom built astromechs. These all seem to have the same deep green fading to black outer shells, which match the color of his exo skeletal skin and that of his armor.

Armor Appearances It is far more likely to encounter No in his armor suits. Most of the uneducated believe him to be an incredibly articulate droid as they never see any biological components. As such I chose to concentrate on those descriptions. (Would like t transfer these to the Tech Thread once the armors get approved and link them here.

-Deinacrida- (Under Armor)
The base armor is designed for efficiency as well as mobility. The feet are comprised of eight, segmented smaller toes. Each singular toe is about one centimeter, point three nine (.39) inches in diameter at its base where it meets the proper section of the leg and thinning out to a sharp point. Segmented four times and modeled after the legs of the Lycosidae arachnid group. (Wolf Spiders). Each toe opposes one opposite it and can be used to grip just as well as a hand. The joints are start at a three centimeter length (1.19 inches).

A skeletal thin set of chitin legs travel up from there, ankle the thickest part on most of the four legs at four centimeters where they connect to the leg, thinning out with a graceful curve to meet the lower part of the double jointed knee at two centimeters. The "knee" being a long heavy cylinder four and a half centimeters long, angled forward from the lower leg. The upper leg becomes thicker to hold No's actual body, his feet resting down just above this connection inside the armor. Green undertones with black highlights travel up to the hip joints, the legs thinning out in the center and widening at the top. Starting out at three centimeters at the base of the thigh and traveling up, thinning out to two point one, and up higher to four centimeters where it meets the hips.

The chest is the largest by far of all its components, starting out about where our normal biceps are at twelve centimeters of depth and twice that wide, and tapering down to a thin eight centimeter depth and sixteen wide waist. From the waist is a long prehensile tail, segmented every five centimeters and a full meter and a half long. The chest unit supports two sets of arms, one larger set over the first lower set that protects and covers his arms. These are skeletal like the legs, though they do not contain a double jointed elbow. Covered in that same chitin like material they are only six centimeters at their thickest, the forearm. The gloves each only have three fingers and move like a natural pair of Verpine hands. The Forearms are about six centimeters thick near the middle and tapper to five where they meet the gloves and four where they meet the elbow. Silver metal bands the forearms, three times along the inner side and coat the entire upper part of the forearm, and holoemitters dot it. These Holoemitters transmit data onto projected screens when needed.

The Upper set of arms are slightly heavier, being twice as thick in general to their lower counterparts. Spines cover the shoulders, extending out behind him and able to fold down flat when needed. The forearms of these each have three long jagged spines coming off of their deep green black arm plates. Silver metal bands the underside of these forearms as well, but flows under the black organic shaped forearm guard. Each of the three spines on each arm share a general shape only, and arc towards the shoulder. These hands end in five fingered fully articulated hands, each with a skelatal shape and colored with that same silvery metal.

Shoulders and head hold several optic packages, having a set of computerized camera compound eyes where two eyes would be expected as well as a set looking forward and behind on each shoulder. The shoulder plates are made of what looks to be an armored chitin, deep emerald green and black again.

Long thin spines of some hardened organic resin extend from points along the legs, toes and outer set of arms, along the back and all along the prehensile tail. These emit an energy signature to those who scan or sensitive to such things, though the use of such energy is not specific.

No knowing that the monkeys expected a face formed what he felt might be the most friendly possible, however failed horribly. The faceplate is a mask in the shape of a grinning skull, mandibles hidden behind the jaw that lowered before letting out the sensitive mechanical versions he had installed, horns pulling off and backwards, finish the visage that most find disturbing.

No's head sits actually in the upper chest module, which has a one way plate placed in front of his face, allowing him to scan visually. The entire thing stands approximately two meters tall, and the jaw rarely opens when others can see.

-Araneae- Over Armor
Where the base armor is designed for functionality, the over armor is designed for as much protection as possible. It is a ponderous, heavily armored suit of environmental power armor. The Araneae, has no neck, only a wide chest that only gets bigger when it moves up to the shoulders. Capping each shoulder plate is a large hemisphere dotted with eight small half orbs arranged in an inner circle. These emit an obvious energy signature that is visible to the naked eye. With the failure of his first suit's helmet design, No opted to have only a flat metal plate protruding slightly where someone would expect a head and face. This one way metallic view plate armors and covers a set of eight small compound sensor packages.

Above this bulge is a raised ridge that has several small spotlights sunken within the armor. These can throw a range of light spectrum to light an area, in a multitude of lights. A heavy set of arms travels down from the shoulder plates, each ending in an eight fingered hand. Heavy forearm guards twenty centimeters in diameter dominate the arms, the under side having a bay for tools, and over the top can be seen three covered holes on each towards the front.

Over the top of each shoulder is a large heavy attachment arm, each able to hold a specific tool or weapon. Most often one can find a heavy laser drill and a heavy plasma cutter. The chest ends a full four feet above the ground and leads down into long very humanoid very thick legs. Each leg is banded with that same silvery metal as the smaller model, and a bubble of that metal occurs at each calf, behind each shoulder and at each hip. The boots are a large thirty six centimeter long number that extends eighteen centimeters out to the front and has a large toe behind of ten centimeters.

Personality:
At most times No seems unpredictable, affable and clownish in his movements, often noticing things that most people never would. Small details that are just out of place. Underneath this outer rambunctious nature is a great well of age, wisdom and seriousness, even a dark coldness. While at most times he seems happy, childlike and jocular, when things get difficult he can become cold, callous and driven with a wild sense of near boundless energy.

Underlining this all is a fierce sense of compassion for all sentient life, biological or otherwise. Coming from a hive mind originally, he found a larger hive in the world of technology and believes every voice has a right to be heard, from the Astromech to the Senator, and that each voice is unique each voice has as much weight as the next one in line.

A fervent pacifist, nonetheless, No has been known to retaliate when no other option is given. Often with quick devastating attacks that leave little room for retaliation in return allowing him to escape, and giving his opponent a non-lethal option for their own retreat. Something he has a proclivity of needing to do, as he mostly calls many races by their base evolutionary path. (Humans are monkeys, Trandosians are Lizards, etc, etc.)

While it rarely surfaces outside of an Academic environment, No does have a rather fascinating way of pissing off various "experts" in certain fields. Its not their fault, they didn't disassemble their home planet for parts, and haven't been a space faring race all that long. He is known to explosive bouts of rather abusive language about current tech and its limitations, as well as how the morons don't understand base eighteen math or take into account other dimensions of energy conversion.

He has an extreme dislike for using weapons such as blasters or ray guns, even shunning his own species highly valued verpine shatter gun, and will often decline using them when it is merely convenient. He has no problems with others using them, except when they make the wrong choices and go for the wrong gun, and is more likely to be explaining why an enemy chose the wrong weapon than actually combating them.

Weaknesses and Strengths:
Strengths
Technopath - No is extremely interested in Tech, having the natural ability to communicate with most higher technology naturally over Radio waves, and also through his connection with the Force. While his tech often evolves into working at much higher levels then a standard model, often they require attention from him to continue functioning.
Knowledge of Technologies - Interfacing with technology as he has, No can recognize most even obscure technologies with little more than a glance. (Though the more obscure technologies will gain his attention for MUCH longer than a glance, rousing his curiousity.)
Information Absorbtion - Shortly after his Force powers manifested, No found he could interface with machines in more ways than speaking to them naturally through Radio. He found he could input code and download information in much similar ways to any other computer network, simply by taking a step sideways through the Force and thinking in Binary or Trinary, or other math based languages. He has learned to tune out what he doesn't need and focus on other things instead, eductating himself on local politics and technological systems on any open net he can gain access to. Or any network he can gain open access to.
Stealth - No's armors often make him seem like a droid. Rare individuals who know him or know of him, can find him, but most everyone else No simply fades. Almost skeletal, technological corridors become his unseen highways. Most often one finds him by interacting with one of his many Hive Droids which follow him around, rather than finding No himself buried in tech. His suit effectively cuts him off from the outside world's radiation spectrum, making him a blank spot in most sensor systems. Over the years No has simply found his natural prefered methods of movement simply eluded most other races. Expanding on these principles for years No has found he has the ability to move almost undetected through ships, any heavy tech based facility, by using side panels, vent shafts, power conduit corridors and places other, skeletal creatures can't.

Weakness
Radiation Sensativity - Proximity to the strange and sometimes extreme radiation that surrounds fusion cores and hyperdrives and powerconduits has slowly changed his physiology so that normal background radiation has become deadly to him. This requires he stay in very well regulated rooms or within a specially designed suit of power armor.
Curiousity - There are things which other’s of his race, or even other races, that should not be designed and built. No will do it just to see it work, will look around the corner that no one wants to look around just to see. While he doesn’t wish to fire weaponry himself, or be in the suit of armor he built for someone when it gets hit with a particular something it was designed to resist, he still wants to watch. When it comes to getting him to build something, or modify something else, talking him into it is never the problem.
Short Sell -No is a single individual, a single voice from the voice a Hive. When it comes to personal compensation he often short sells his own skills, sometimes even working for free in exchange for food and lodging.
Pacifist Combatant -While he does enjoy working on weaponry and shields, No is a pacifist at heart, even going so far as to only cary mostly non lethal weaponry and targetting surrounding areas instead of going directly for someone. Then these attacks are only for the purpose of driving an enemy back or providing an escape route. Quite often by combining chemicals that really shouldn't be combined in uncontrolled ways.
Tech Ban - While No does enjoy all technology, there are some technologies he will not mix or create, even accepting his own death before building anything like these devices. Antimatter as a weapon, temporal devices of any kind (Will dismantle these upon finding), cloaking devices beyond a personal level device, wormhole weaponry or travel, blind Nanotech. While he understands the concepts and could technically build them with his expertise, they are either so power inefficient as to be fundamentally useless in his eyes, or have effects he can not nor would he trust anyone else to understand the reprecutions of using it.
Tech Customization - No does customize tech, and if you catch him at the right time when he is free, you can RP and see if your tech feels you need an upgrade. No two suits of armor, ships or weapons will be exactly the same. No is kind of whacky like that, and you won't get exactly what you ask for, and he will say no to just flat out asking him for it.

Education
Larval Life (20 ABY to 22 ABY)
Its amazing what hive minds can do for the development of a larval mind. Politics, science, art, philosophy all flitting through the air, each voice heard and understood in an instant. All things a young larvae needed. Sparing the more wet portions of this time, No picked up all kinds of things while his brain and body finished forming. Where most mammalian children lay in a goo filled sac and do little to nothing the lazy gits, No lay in a goo filled sac and learned applied physics from a spaceship hyperdrive engineer seven decks up as the Verpine fixed hyperdrives. Learned biology from the cloning technicians who oversaw the drone cloning vats. Microbiology and macrobiology and ecological systems from the techs in charge of the environmental systems in the self contained Roche Asteroid Field.
Childhood (22 ABY to 28 ABY)
Like most insectoid races, No's childhood and young adult life wasn't the happy cheerful existence a boy would dream of. If that boy was not a Verpine. Born already with the knowledge most races take years to pass on, Verpine children are put fast to work. Not that the insects much mind. The little ones crawl through cargo ships, military ships, anyones ships brought to the Roche Asteroid field. For No it was a dream, spent crawling through the innards of great beasts, learning tech beyond the time he spent in the hatching room.
Emergence (28 ABY - 33 ABY)
The emergence of his Force abilities accelerated his education quite a bit, moving him quickly from a crawler(One of the techs that moved through the power conduits. At the early age of ten it was decided that he be given the opportunity for a minor experiment in modifying the Fusion fields of a hyperdrive engine. The Experiment successful the Verpine began teaching as much as they could to the young No. Who applied his new found gift for manipulating tiny particles to everything the Hive would allow.
Education in a larger Universe (33 ABY- Current)
After an accident cut him off from the world he knew, No found himself relegated to the world of a single environmentally controlled room, in silence. The Hive's call was static and jumbled now, thankfully the maddening noise was cut off by the radiation shielding he was forced to live behind now. Which left a maddening silence. However a larger world opened up as he began to send his voice into the larger Galaxy's Holonet. Schools opened, games, technical manuals he never dreamed he would read. Known to be relegated to a single room, he found himself accepted into many classes at larger universities, attending over the Net. The silence that was once song was filled with numbers and figures, thoughts and ideas from philosophers across the stars. This was a gold mine of a find to No, who at that point in time was still unsure what use the new monkeys to the galaxy had. While he excelled mainly at technical knowledge, quickly earning PhDs in several fields, several fields eluded him. Namely more esoteric fields which civilization at large considers "fluff" skills. Still, there are a few he applied himself to until he mastered them.
-Biological to Computer Interface Concepts and Design (Earned his first PhD in this in 35 ABY under his own name, and another in 59 ABY from Correlian School of Advanced Design, under the name Nonune.)
-Robotics (Earned his first PhD from Correlia's Academy of Applied Sciences, 36 ABY, applied under the name Noth in 45 ABY with Kuat's University and received another four years later, most recently graduated top of his class under the alias Nonune in 58 ABY, and earned another PhD a year later in 59 ABY under the name Kazz Rah'ghoul in cybernetics combining his biology, robotics and interface degrees into one PhD)
-Metalurgy (Earned a PhD from Kuat Universities in 39 ABY, and again under the alias Nonune in 48 ABY)
-Magnetics (Earned a PhD from Naboo Science Academy under the name No in 37 ABY, and under the name Nonune from Correllian Universities in 61 ABY)
-Applied Physics, specializing in Fusion, Antimatter and Hypermatter reactions (PhD under his own name from Correllian Universities in 35 ABY, Again in 41 ABY from Coruscant, then under the name Nonune in 48 ABY, and again in 55 ABY under the name Noth.) (He has written several papers on this subject, publishing them under pseudonyms throughout the academic community, they range from being considered hedge science to being moved into mainstream thought when building the newer power cores, depending on how caustic his writing was concerning current technology.)
-Astrophysics and Astronautical Design (Earned a PhD under his name in 40 ABY from Coruscant Universities, and again in 56 ABY from Correlian Engineering Technical University under the name Nonune.)
-Cheesemaking - (Earned a PhD in 45 ABY, spent four years earning it, which was quite long for him, under his own name from Correllian Culinary Accademy.)
Psychology (General Bachelors degree in 46 ABY from Correllian Universities, Xeno-Psych from Coruscant in 49 ABY, and AI Psychology PhD in 50 ABY)
Underwater Basket Weaving (General Degree, 50ABY University of Naboo. They did not offer a PhD Program, but he found a loophole that got him a bachelor's degree)
Biology (Earned his first PhD from Correlian Universities in 38 ABY, and a specialized degree in Insectoid Molecular Biology in 42 ABY.)

While he has a PhD level of knowledge, he has refused to get PhDs from various areas, mostly citing the fact that the monkeys don't know how to do math in base eighteen and its not their fault. These fields include Mathematics, Hyperspatial Theory(You monkeys are freaking flat wrong), AI programing and Droid Programing, Environmental or Granitic Manipulation. Most times he will just smile his unnerving bug smile and go about his business, but bringing up any names in these fields will often launch him into a rant.

Equipment
- Power Armor Suits (Heavily Modified, no lethal weaponry, though several tools that could be lethal. There are two, one designed to fit over the other, one for day to day movements, the other for heavy experimentation or other places things may blow up near him.)
-
-

Force Powers (No's powers are highly advanced but only in certain situations. In general his powers weaken considerably when he is in a stressful situation, only able to reach the higher levels of power he can attain in a calm environment.) As a side note, I am not 100% sure these Force Powers are the exact powers I would need to do what I would like with the Character. I have included a description of how No would apply each. He has no training and is a bug, so the concepts laid forth already didn't always fit. I would appreciate any comments about what might need shifting.
- Technopath (Mechu-Deru, without the Dark Side. He uses it to Talk with Technology not force his will on it.) (One of the first powers of his to emerge, proximity to technology allows him to converse with it. From computers to blaster rifles. He uses this to hold conversations and ask the tech where it would like to be upgraded. In general these upgrades make sense, Blasters want to do more damage, Computers move faster, power cores want more efficient power, etc. However how each piece of tech wants to achieve this is different, often taking into account how its fired. Give him an assault blaster from two different Mandalorians, that starts the same model, and he will hand you back two different guns based on what those Mandolorians would be asking their guns to do.) (Moderate skill level, as stated he will not use the Dark Side elements of mechu-deru or actually add Force Powers to Mundane objects, feeling them both inefficient uses of energy and also a blasphemy.)
- Telekinesis (In a combat or tense moment this power is extremely weak, only allowing him to move small objects and then often dragging them. About the size of a Heavy Blaster Pistol. It is enough to throw aim off on one individual, just slightly. When in a calm environment though this power blossoms, being precise and strong enough to make minor adjustments to plasma fields within antimatter and fusion reactions or create seamless welds by fusing the atoms of metal together, and varied enough that he can hold a near infinite amount of smaller objects in the air rotating around each other before pulling them into one assembly.)
- Force Barrier (In combat, these barriers can not stop even light blaster fire. While calm, No can contain and shield actual Controlled Fusion, antimatter and Hypermatter reactions and dangerous materials, like raw antimatter.)
- Force Sense (This power is incredibly precise in its use, and nearly anything disturbing him, even a bleep of an alarm he needs to pay attention to will imediately end its use. He has felt the tickle at the back of his neck sometimes when being attacked, but has been attacked when it didn't work, and so he ignores this aspect of the power. Instead focusing on his suit's sensors for so long, he has locked it away. No uses this to "Touch" Antimatter and Fusion, to Feel the edge of a blade to make sure its lines are elegant and perfect, to Feel the edges of the smooth metal as he pulls it together and reach deep down to fuse atoms together with Telekinesis and make seamless welds. He has at time mentioned that he sometimes thinks he hears the Universes Song, can feel notes that are stronger than others.)

History: (Four Paragraphs Minimum)
No's first memory is of the Hivesong. Well no, the first memory is of the wonderful nutrient rich goo. But most monkeys turn green when he starts talking about that. And he can understand them wanting to hear about the Hivesong more, if he had tearducts he would weep for the loss of it sometimes.

Two long years his world contained nothing but the Hivesong, a beautiful sound, hundreds of voices singing knowledge out to their children, to their fellows. Sharing their thoughts and feelings, their deep respect and admiration for each other, love of each other and of the work. Oh the Work.

That's the main problem getting No's history from him, there is always Work to be done. But unlike other races where work is that thing you do when you Have to, No's species sees the Work as a Joy. That look in the eyes of a child, a true innocent as they play at some innocent tiny little game. That is the look in a Verpine's eye when he mentions Work, when he is at Work.

And they are always singing that Hivesong, that joy. You just haven't evolved enough to hear it, or you would be singing it as well. A song Sung, a never ending melody and rhythm since before your Old Republic was born.

Those Larval years were bliss, ending with the Joy of becoming a Hatchling. the Wonder of Work as a Crawler. That infinite joyous pride that born your race could do things other races still dreamed of. The children of the Verpine don't get a childhood to play at sports or drama on the playground. Do not go to school. We learned that as larva sung to us by our Elders, as they learned from their Elders, and them from their's. All the way back into the age before we dismantled our homeworld to enter the more efficient living space of the Asteroid belt which remained.

Six years he spent as a crawler, as the best crawler. Crawlers were the children of the Verpine, but don't think that made them any less proficient at fixing technology. To them it was their toys, their game. They would crawl through those small spaces the Elder's could not reach, and Sing back to the Elder what was wrong. Only to have the solution Sung back. The younger races technologies our building blocks and dolls.

Joy, pride, love. They knew, he had evolved, had developed as an individual. Still no more important than the rest of the voices in the Song. Just a different piece, another note in the song that made the entirety of the Song greater. All remembered the Song of Beyghor Sahdett, the Verpine who became a Jedi. They remembered what that feeling was that No experienced when he touched the Force.

His Song expanded, flew wildly and gracefully through elegant equations and powerful fusion reactions. Those fusion reactions, their own song so gorgeous drew at him, pulled him closer and closer. Like a Moth to the Flame he began hearing the Song of Technology. A new song, so like the Verpine's own. Beautiful in its own right, cold and logical, electric and alive. With a heartbeat of fusion and veins of energy, minds of numbers and figures.

During one experiment, the Song of Technology was sung just a little louder for No. Sliding closer and closer the shielding that kept others safe left behind in favor of using the Force to create a barrier around himself was the mistake. That shielding dulled the Song of the Verpine. Their call became softer and softer. The Song of Fusion became a roar in his ears, became the only song even drowning out his own Mindsong.

He awoke later to the most devastating noise a Singer could know. The world was silent. The Song's of his Hatchmates, his mothers and fathers, all gone. He feared the worst until he heard the sound of an airlock and felt the whisper of a noise, the whisper of a song.

To say a Verpine does not experience love, since they do not pair or mate or declare this love where others can Hear, would be a travesty. Their love is different. Love of an Individual Singer is the Love of the Hive, the whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. No loved every single Singer, all the other Verpine. He knew they had loved him, he had bathed in their Song to know they did beyond a shadow of a doubt.

The wound that only a Droid was sent, a message of silence to a Singer. The accident cut off his ability to exist under normal radiation, but also had messed with his Song. And his ability to Listen. The Song was off key, out of tempo and a harsh gratting against the insides of their eyes. For both the Singer and the Sung, those that could still participate in the Hivesong.

Far from Exiling No, the other Verpine built him a sanctuary. A lab and access to the outside through the Holonet. Master's of creating artificial environments they made a special breed of the fungus Magenge, which grew inside the asteroid colonies of the Verpine, formed the basis of the Verpine diet was bred. Special rooms created where No could exist in peace. He was broken but still useful.

Soon the access to the outside world began to show that while his abilities to hear the Hivesong were gone, his skills and mind were just as sharp as ever.

To a mind that was constantly busy, constantly singing, fixing, dismantling improving, the realms of cyberspace were pure beauty. Songs from a thousand races, from a thousand thousand civilizations, all at his clawtips. He tried his hand at videogames first to past his time, often finding them too simplified to really hold his mind for long. He did develop several relationships with people over the net, enjoying conversation though finding it utterly frustrating.

Words and typing, were clumsy and inelegant a form a communication, and the loss of the Hivesong left him with a enourmous hole in his heart. Well, figuratively. Technically he didn't have a heart, he pumped his blood by flexing his lower thorax. He does get a kick when most monkey's figure out that he pumps his blood by flexing his butt.

Two years later he earned his first PhD in Biological to Computer Interface Concepts and Design, and began constructing newer faster ways to interface with his computers shortly after he lost the ability to hear the Hivesong. In his little room he learned how to use his natural Verpine abilities and the Force Abilities similar to Mechu-Deru and a self taught version of Force Sense to Hear and Sing to his computers.

The world opened up even more, now he could access information as fast as his mind could process it. His lab filled with creations and his walls with degrees. Some made sense, some made no sense to anyone but him. Small mini droids began appearing throughout the lab. Small voices added to the song. These droids were dismantled and reassembled, their programing pulled apart and through the Song he learned what bits worked for each little droid's purpose, and expanded on them. Pulling their bodies apart with telekinesis and reassembling them again and again.

These small droids became the background melodies to an artificial Hivesong, one that saved his sanity. Other Droids were made, more advanced as he progressed through the worlds of acedemics, creating psydeunyms for himself and assumed aliases so that he could attend the same classes again. Learn more, learn what was learned. He found that he enjoyed the Song of Learning, of Building.

It wasn't until recently that the Hive finally had enough. No believes it was the fourth PhD in Robotics that drove them over the top. And considering, No couldn't quite blame them. It was the suggestion of one of his physics teachers that made the act of leaving his small realm possible. A robotic suit of armor to keep him safe.

Over two years he put his expertise into building a pair of suits. The first exoskeletal frame a thin tiny number that barely covered his entire body. A powerful but small fusion core in its lower back powering a shielding unit. This shielding unit was fitted for shielding both ways. Shielding himself from now harmful normal background radiation, and from harmful radiations elsewhere as well. It also shielded those outside the suit from the radiation bathe he was forced to live in. Keeping the outside world safe.

The second suit was a much bulkier thing, designed to withstand the radiation of unshielded fusion, antimatter and hypermatter reactions. While it could not actually touch the physical reactions and explosive energy of a pure reaction, being nearby did not bother him anymore, though he needed a decontamination unit to exist with other beings after that point.

About two years ago, No emerged from the Roche Asteroid fields and began plying his trade as a tech. He bartered for passage on Starships, and exchanged protection with mercenaries for work on their gear. This all stopped to the beat of a drum though when he first saw the new Mandalore, who was only a Clan Leader at the time.

Some bit of the Force, of the Song of the Universe existed around that one. An easy alliance was made, the Verpine and Mandalorians having a long truce. They provided military strength, Verpine the tech. It is a relationship that simply works.

Currently he provides advice to the new Mandalore on matters technical, but mostly stays in his lab, making custom pieces for Mandolorians with exceptional skill. Though what these pieces are, rarely are what those Mandolorians thought they would get.
