The time period of the construction of similar pieces was 10,000 years BBY. In that area the item was used as a hatchet, ice pick, climbing tool and knife all in one. They only come in pairs. They are rarely scene and used independently of each other. The item did not seriously resurface in any great way until 21 A.B.Y. when more and more Ako Prime based Special Operation Units started using them for close quarters combat.
