Something about finding someone perhaps? Leaving someone behind and possibly finding them? Not too sure? Are there any other similar ones on any of the old games? |

As soon as I read the title "Soldier Down" it made me think of this memorable challenge from the Outback http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=surviv...681D74B65C53240 If the link doesn't work, just google Survivor the australian outback season 2 episode 5 and you should see it. I think we should study this video and take as many notes as we can. It can't hurt. I think they had similar challenges in other seasons so I'm trying to locate those also. Any ideas? |

My Notes: - In the tent we see bottles of antiseptic, pure disinfectant and mercurochrome - The tribes built "travois" - Jeff had a greyish white shirt - The danger Jeff enumerates: Out of controol fire, Wildlife, crocodiles, snakes, spiders, Jerri (OK that last one is just me!) - The challenge was called "Triage". - The victims had to stand inside a circle that was indicated with a flag. - The reward had been chosen by each tribes and included blankets, spices, soup mix and luxury items from a sponsor Target (tooth brushes, tooth paste, deodorant, shampoo - Kimmi and Roger sat out for Kucha - The first rescuers for Ogakor were Keith (in front) and Colby. - Kucha used Mike (leading of course) and Nick. - The "injured soldiers for Ogkor were, in order: Tina, Amber and Jerri - For Kucha, it was Jeff Varner, Alicia and Elisabeth. - Ogakor had the lead after the first leg, Kucha dropped Jeff twice. - Kucha took over during the second leg and easily won. - At the end, we see Amber crying and saying: "I am so tired of losing." Tina is heard responding: "Don't let them break your spirit (darling?)." |

Great work Ted, you really put a lot of effort in. They also had a similar challenge in Borneo when Kelly and Colleen were hanging in the tree and had to be rescued by their tribe. Something to keep in mind is that the survivors usually get told to make a stretcher before the challenge. So the challenge may involve us putting something together. It's a long shot but I thought it might be worth mentioning. |

Thank you Jon and Spencer. Yes, I thought there was one in Borneo. They also had something similar in Cook Islands where Parvati and Candice were tied to the mast of Pirate ships. Ozzy and JP had to swim out to rescue them. I know the challenge also involved making fire and that cao Boi excelled in that part of it. I'll try to look for videos of both. It could all be for nothing but it gives me something to do! |

Notes: The challenge was on Larai Laria beach and was for immunity. Jeff was dressed in a blue shirt and we saw the remains of a downed plane Jeff told them that their tribe mates (Kelly for Tagi, Colleen for Pagong) had jumped by parachute but were stuck in a tree so they had to be rescued. Jeff asked for two leaders: Sue and Joel stepped forward. Pagong led all the way, reaching Colleen and getting her down before Tagi found Kelly. They raced back to their 1st aid tent but Jeff never said: Pagong wins immunity. Instead he waited for tago to finish and told them they had a date with him at TC. He then sent the voctorious Pagong to get the immunity idol which was also hanging from a tree on "Bird island". |

Cook Islands episode 4 Immunity challenge wikipedia summary: Immunity Challenge: Tribe members from each tribe will assemble a stretcher puzzle and race though the jungle with the stretcher to the beach. Once there, one tribe member will swim out to rescue another tribe member shackled to the top of a mast. Both members will swim back to the beach while holding onto a life ring, place the rescued tribe member on the stretcher and race back through the jungle to their starting mat. There, the remaining three tribe members must build a fire tall and strong enough to burn through a rope and raise the tribe's flag. First tribe to unfold their flag wins. Cao Boi's tactics, albeit unorthodox — such as dancing crazily with a smoking coconut husk — carried Aitutaki past Rarotonga at the fire-making Immunity Challenge. Out of frustration, Stephannie accepted blame for the defeat and put herself up to be voted out. However, later on, she retracted the offer to the other women, who then used the opportunity to vote J.P. out. Adam and Brad secretly decided to betray J.P. and Nate, sending J.P. home by a vote of 7–2. |

![]() I wonder if we will be casting one vote against someone and/or a vote for someone? You could choose to either cast a vote against someone on another clan or cast a vote to save someone in your clan? Of course the votes for would cancel out a vote against. The person from each tribe with the most positive votes is immune for tribal council.. and all 4 clans have to vote someone off. you would not be allowed to vote for yourself . You would have a chance to save your friends... and he says that tribal depends on the connections that you have made. Those could be connections in your own clan or others. |
