Things to remember #1

QUOTE (Fairplay @ Jan 15 2015, 08:50:32 PM)
Marcus: Being up twice must suck, and I don't envy your position at all. In fact I really feel sorry for you dude and I hope you make it through tonight. You have said on a few occasions now that 'people who don't vote for you won't be voted for by you in future executions'. How will you handle that if 4 people are marked who didn't vote for you next round?

I knew it was only a matter of time someone would ask that question. It is not an easy answer. I have four options to help with that decision. It truly would a last minute decision.
1.)I could take the funny route and say I would pick a name from a hat. But, that would be disrespectful to those who are being voted. Nobody would take me seriously.
2.)I could show my undying loyalty for those with whom I have made an alliance with 1st and with whom I've had the strongest connections. That would be the noble thing to do.
3.)I could also vote out the biggest threat for myself and my alliance- which would be the smartest thing to do.
4.) I could ask excellent and questions, as you have, to each individual. That would be the respectful thing to do.

I can not answer your question without KNOWING who it would be in the 4. There are way too many factors and each person here deserves the respect in the game.

I hope that answer satifys.

QUOTE (Andrea @ Jan 15 2015, 09:03:51 PM)
Marcus: Nothing but good words to say about you at this point. Totally sucks you've been put in this position twice. I don't want to vote for you. But the thing that I'm wrestling with now is your relationship with other people here in the Dungeon (sorry Rupert)...but Rupert said the other day that you, Eliza, and Ted were like the 1st-3rd people to message him the other day (or thereabouts with the numbers). When did I message Rupert? I have no idea-- could have been 15th or 11th or 17th to message him for all I know! He's said last round when Eliza, Ted, You, and Troyzan were marked, that he loved all 4 of you and found it to be extremely tough. Then he (& You & Troyzan) likely made a strong connection with Cindy on Galloway. So that could very well be a tight 5 right there (you, Eliza, Rupert, Cindy, Troyzan). Is there any room for the other 11 of us in there? Or is that a tight 5 that doesn't have room for the rest of us? If so, logically in the game of Survivor, why would the 11 of us want to keep all of Rupert's closest and best friends alive and well? Are you guys going to be the "Top Five Baby"? I feel horrible saying this, but I just feel the need to speak out and say what I've been thinking. There's no option of PMs. All conversation is public. So *sighs* that's what's going on. Sorry for dragging you, Rupert, into this. Nothing against anyone here, I'm just trying to think logically. Please walk me through this if you can or want to, Marcus.

Thank you Andrea, for your honesty.

I must 1st & foremost say I do not have a top 5 with anyone. Sure, I have a stronger connection to Rupert, Cindy & Troy - only b/c of the clan time (Hammer time).Just like many of you on your clans. But, I also truly take into consideration the connection I made with you, Andrea, and a few others pre clan.

You asked if there was room for more? We are not one unit. We have our own individual thoughts & concerns. We don;t agree about everything. This game is complex. If I get into the merge, at some point, in order to move forward I will have to vote out people I like. I hate that part of the game. I expect they will have to vote for me. I get it. It's the game. But, right now at this stage- phase? It's way too early to vote out people that I like, I want to have fun with people.

I'll be honest- it sucks to answer this. I'm not going to BS anyone at this stage.

Also, before I leave I was just... thinking, and sorry if this has been mentioned before earlier, but if it has than I forgot about it until now and think it needs more attention if it HAS been brought up.

Did we ever consider that Spencer is the one who adapted? I think it's very clear that whoever did adapt has NO idea that they did anything, so I am not trying to insinuate anything of that nature. I think that we can pretty much all agree on that part of the adapter not knowing that they did anything special. So, since this person adapted and doesn't know it, it could seriously be anybody here.

Brobst said that we should/could treat this like an open TC experience since it inevitable is with everything being in public. In a TC experience, you end up having to chose sides and inevitably have to make a target out of somebody here. One the first round here, all we did was be merry and talk about drinking and eating. We never even mentioned names of potential people to get rid of until after the deadline was up, which is WHY nobody was immune.

Second round, Debb pretty much went out and said that she was going to vote for Spencer because he wasn't around. Myself and others all agreed that he should be the one to leave since he was barely around... it was kinda unanimously decided that Spencer was the person here who was on the outs, so to speak. He was not doing anything to help himself out...

Then Spencer shows up...

He makes up a defense and then suddenly we all decide that he should be kept around because he has RL issues, bla, bla, bla... that details aren't the important fact here. The important fact is that he ADAPTED to the situation at hand. He wasn't part of any alliance/group here and was ready to be sent packing until he arrived and adapted to being the target and saved himself from it.

Does this make sense? Only ONE person was really discussed during the time period, and we went from sending Spencer home, to keeping him around. That sounds like he adapted to me, and only ONE person managed to adapt last round.

Agian, I could be over-thinking everything, but.. this could be a legit possibility and it is fairly simple.. adapt to the people and situations thrown at you, roll with the punches, just like Spencer did.

Thoughts, comments?

By the way... I just spent ANOTHER two hours reading from pages 103 to 159 (the last round where one person was safe). Again, after a third full read-through, nothing jumped out at me from anything that anyone who was NOT marked posted during that time period (from when the "Adapt or Die" graphic was posted until the "Clock Is Ticking" graphic was posted). If anyone else wants to have a go, those are the pages to read through. Skip past any posts by people who were marked in the last round (Debb, Penny, Kim and Marcus). I'm not having any luck, so maybe a few more pairs of eyes will help?
