Hey everyone, I'm new here. Surfed onto tamanagerie because, after all these years, there's actually a pet I need to buy from the site! (Mod, check your email please, =D ). I'm 24 in med school, and I remember when these lil guys 1st came out...those were SO expensive back then from all the demand. Now you can't even find steady sources on eBay. I'm ooold. My 1st one was a knockoff...when it turned on, it chimed "happy birthday" and it hatched...something, it looks like a snake/embryo/crawly thing, and I believe it inexplicably matured into a dog. I bought it along with a combo meal at, also inexplicably, the mall's Hot-Dog-on-a-Stick for $11. Good times. Didn't get a proper tamagotchi for another year (transparent blue) and then moved onto the Yoda. Gave my mom both versions of pikachu pedometer, and I bought all 3 wireless POX when Tiger and Hasbro went though yet another crunch. Unfortunately I get bored of virtual pets really quickly. I was always a sucker for 'training' pets instead of 'nurture' pets, so I bought a set of digimon pedomters, promptly got bored and ebayed them off at a profit. I still feel guilty. And now I'm here...I still can't believe how big the fad is and how many people are still hunting down rare pets. Because, at the end of the day, we just want something smiling at us, needing us a little bit yet taking our minds just a wee off study, training, or work. Electronic 20-second me-time dispensers, we love you. |

Hiya! Welcome to the group/ forum, what ever you'd like to call it. Please have some official forum Cookies! :cookie: :cookie: Guaranteed to be sugar-free, fat free and 100% calorie free! *stuffs face*.. can't get enough of these. I'm the owner of Tamenagerie. Med School, neat-O! :groove: Tamagotchis for me started at the end of the first 'craze' then mysteriously snowballed from there. I didn't think much of them when they first came out and refused to try them out until they went on clearance at Toys R Us. I was hooked by the second day. |

Nice to have you yes....... *cleans up mothras mess :vac: * That is quite a story. I have been into V-pets, since i was about 13 or 14.... My first was a Yellow and Purple Tama P1. Last one the stares had... I was sure lucky and happy I got it. Then about 7 months later my step dad got mad and threw it in the lake. *WAAAAH* But then I got it back.....thanks to Mothra. She dived down and braved unwordly creatures at Norris Lake. Actually she had one and i bought it :nana: Well nice to have you here. Dont be afraid to post....we....dont bite......too hard :mwahaha: :cookie: :cookie: Have some more cookies..... freshly generated by my clicks. |
