Race Overview Veraren's - Allthough in the minority dew to there war with the Lorag's they still hold great power. They tend to keep there technogy to themselfs, as it was part of the deal they set with the earily Rihons. Fur colour tends to be blues, but greens, purples and reds are quite commen (all other colours do exist, but rarely). Markings are genrally either black or white, but coloured ones have been seen. (pic coming soon) Rihons - Rihons are actully a bit taller than Verarens. However they have trouble standing up straight, and usally squat and move around on all fours. They don't actully camoflage with thier surrounding, and change colour based on mood, temperature and surroundings. Some markings change colour, like there normal body, but some stay the same colour whatever colour they are. Rihons can have Spiked brows, nose and beards or a big wedge forehead. (pic coming soon) Lorag's - Very rat-like, hunched over and small compaired to other races, they are quite savage. Often the biggest, strongest and fastest are the leaders, with weaker ones following out of fear. Quite a few become mercanrys or free-lance traders. Fur colour is often browns, grays and blacks, but other colours have been known dew to there bizzar magic. Lorag's will often boost there ranks by turning commen rodents (like rats) into Lorags, meaning that although most have pointed ears and furless tails, not all do. Darcaw's - Raptor like in build, but have adapted dew to being stuck in the void for so long. There body is covered in fur, which can be any colour, and have feathers on there arms, allowing them to glide. They see far more than most creatures(e.g. Magic, IR, UV), meaning they have to wear speical goggles which fillter out radion. Genrally quite quirky, often acting 'weird' around other races. They all have staffs, which they carry with them at all times. Full details and more coming soon~ |

Guess I should add my old ones as well (though with some modifications). Species Name: Makyur Pluralization: Makyurs Naming: Tends to start with K and only have 2 names, they never use names refering to family. Average Adult Height: Normal Adult: 2 foot 6 inches tall, Elder Adult: 6 feet tall. Lifespan: 120 years (80 years in the normal phase, 40 years in the elder phase). Description: They tend to keep to themselves, they talk and trade with other races, but once someone tries to integrate or convert them, they get violent. They're also very defensive, anyone moving into their territory without their permission are attacked, even if done by accident. They trade only resources to other races, technology is closely guarded. They came from a planet with great gravity, causing their skeletons to become harder. Appearance: In the normal phase they're humanoid with pale skin, clawed hands and feet, fangs, and pointy ears. In the elder phase they grow small horns, a short tail, and their skin becomes leathery. Gender Differences: Females are on average taller than males. Colours/Markings: Skin is always pale, eye color can be red or yellow, different colored eyes are quite common, and their hair tends to be dark. Clothing: They tend to wear funtional clothes, highly durable leather or fabric, jackets are common, especially trenchcoats. Many use dark colors while some use strong colors, bright colors are not acceptable as they feel it looks too close to skin color. Weaponry: Their melee weapons consists of spears, knives, and axes. Their ranged weapons are high calliber firearms, laser rifles, and gauss rifles. Their lasers are very powerful, capable of shooting through steel with ease. They also have gravitational cannons capable of tearing things to shreds, but they're so expensive people rarely use them. Magic: The Makyurs rarely use their magic to heal or cause wounds, they mostly use it for curses and minor utility. A Makyur in the normal phase also has a high natural resistance to magic effects on their bodies, magical effects never stay, but this resistance almost completely disappears once they go into the elder phase. Transport: They have heavily armored, very resilient spacecraft, but they're not very big, rarely having a crew of more than a hundred people. They have 2-4 separate reactors and enough spare parts to go forwards even if the spacecraft has been torn in half. The Makyur spacecrafts aren't very well armed, fights with them are often very long, so as to allow reinforcements to come to their aid. Dedicated transports of cargo or people are very rare, but doesn't share the armor or resilience of the other spacecraft, relying on having a powerful escort instead. -- Species Name: Xewin Pluralization: Xewi Naming: Either uses the hosts name, a name of a host they like, or a name that's unpronouncable just to mess with you. Average Adult Length: 1 foot long. Lifespan: Natural: 5 years, Symbiotic: As long as there's hosts to bond with. Description: The Xewi are parasitic symbiotes, capable of controlling and modifying whoever they bond with. Bonding is rarely voluntary. The Xewi tends to be absent minded, not worrying about anyone else and just want to explore and have fun. Appearance: Serpentine with pale slimy and smooth skin, flesh rending fins, a maw of razor sharp teeth, and a special backfin that, when stabbed into the spine, allows full control of the host. Gender Differences: No visible difference. Colours/Markings: All Xewi have pearly white skin and black eyes. Clothing: The Xewi only dresses it's host, they go for the most alien clothing they can find, even by the host's standards. Weaponry: The Xewi are capable of taking control of a host, and will start draining the host upon taking control, lengthening their lifespan. The Xewi can also modify the body of it's host, they can also alter the memories and even completely mindwipe the host, making them in complete control. When a host is taken control of the blood starts to blacken and the hair begins turning white. Magic: None. Transport: Whatever transport the host uses. -- Species Name: Catgirl Pluralization: Catgirls Naming: Only one name, 1-3 syllables. Average Adult Height: 4 foot tall. Lifespan: 60 years. Description: They're friendly creatures living in Makyur territory, where they're being used for menial tasks by their Makyur masters. They're not very well known, very few know about them except the Makyurs, as they're not allowed outside their territory. Appearance: They look like Human females but with cat ears and tail. Gender Differences: There are only females. Colours/Markings: Their skin, hair, and fur (ears and tail) color varies wildly, also their hair and fur color doesn't even have to match. Clothing: Often given clothes by the Makyur, but when they make their own it's often very colorful and has lots and lots of fur. Weaponry: They're rarely given weapons by the Makyurs. Magic: They're very strong with magic, they also use magic in order to reproduce. Transport: Catches a ride on Makyur spacecraft. -- Species Name: Vanguard Pluralization: Vanguards Naming: They are born with 3 names but gains a 4th by their deeds, their names usually have 2-6 syllables. Average Adult Height: 5 foot tall. Lifespan: 100. Description: Honorbound warriors, they travel the dimension in search of honor and glory. They're enemies with the Makyur. They're devoted to fighting evil wherever it may be, and finds the Makyur to be the most stuborn evil they have ever fought. Appearance: Humanoid with glowing marks on their body. Gender Differences: Same as human. Colours/Markings: They're never pale, their hair color is dark, often black. The markings on their bodies is often red, white, blue, green, yellow, purple, orange, or any hue of those colors. Clothing: They mostly wear armor, as they dedicate their life to combat. Weaponry: They sometimes use a machinegun, but most use axes, swords, spears, maces, hammers, and staffs. Magic: Their magic enhances their strength, speed, and allows them to tell when someone is lying. Transport: They mostly use personal spacecraft, but there are some bigger spacecraft they use for transport of people and cargo. -- I decided to remove 2 of the races since I thought they were a bit... weird. |

Species Name: Cirpe Pluralization: One Cirp, many Cirpe Naming: Cirpe language uses a lot of clicking and squeaking sounds. Most Cirpe have two names: one that is only known to others of their race, and one they go by in company of other races. Average Adult Height: Cirpe are short, approximately waist-high to a human. Lifespan: about 40 earth years, mature at 8. Description: Cirpe are a curious race, known as skilled thieves and compulsive hoarders. While generally harmless and even cowardly, they can become surprisinngly violent when cornered, or if someone would try to steal from them. Appearance: A cirp has the appearance of a humanoid rodent. They stand about 1m to 1,30m tall and have a rather chubby build, along with pointy snouts, large ears and visible incisors. Their prensile tails are about as long as the creature is tall and completely hairless. Gender Differences: A male cirpes tail splits in two , starting at the tip, when he comes of age, while female keep the one-ended tail. Colours/Markings: Typically, a Cirpes fur is brown or rust-coloured, occationally with white or black markings. Think of hamsters. Clothing: Cirpe commonly have little interest in clothes, believing their fur to be more than enough - actually, a cirp wearing clothes is easily suspected to have some sort of skin disease. The do, however, often carry pouches, stachels or backpacks. Weaponry/Magic: Cirpe are no warfaring race, but will use whatever they can get their paws on to defend themselfs. In this case, they'll often try to tunnel throught the ground for a surprise attack. 1 in 1000 Cirpe is born with telekinetic abilities. Transport: None by themselves, but are known to hitch-hike rides on other races spaceships.
Species Name: Elvain [pronounced as Elva-in] Pluralization: one Elvain, two Elvani Naming: Elvani have three-parted names, the first being a personal, the second that of a parent or ancestor, and the last the deity they serve. (example: Aija rai Kiana syn Ehloa -> Aija, heir of Kian, servant/worshipper of Ehloa) Average Adult Height: roughly human Lifespan: up to 100 years Description: Elvani are restless people, claiming to originate from a planet that has been destroyed many millenia ago. Humble, yet graceful in nature, they are traders and seekers, more often of stories and wisdom than of material goods. Males are rather rare, making up only 1/5th of the total population. Appearance: Elvani are humanoides, of slender build and graceful, fluid movements that (to humans) makes it seem as if they were dancing or floating. Gender Differences: In their body structure, same as human. Female Elvani additionally possess labial glands that secrete a drug-like substance with an aphrodisiac and/or sedative effect. Colours/Markings: Commonly, Elvani have blue or purple skin. Their hair is blue, black, white or pink, and their eyes are pink or red (rarely black or golden). Clothing: Many elvani prefer billowing robes of translucent cloth. Weaponry/Magic: Elvani abhorr the Idea of killing sentient life, and therefore use almost exclusively non-lethal weapons designed to trap, entangle or paralyze an opponent. Transport: Elvani have two kinds of Spaceships: the huge, slow Zeppelids, essentially self-sufficient, mobile space stations on which they live, and the lean, fast scouts. neither of those ships is, accordingly to their philosophy, equipped with notable offensive weaponry; however they do possess extremely durable shields and armour.
Species Name: Eiris Pluralization: One Eiris is a Hero, three Eiris are a civil war. Two's company. Naming: No actual conventions. Many Eiris use words of "foreign" languages as names, if they like the sound, even if they don't know the meaning. Average Adult Height: about 1,30m high, 1m long. Description: The Eiris, birdlike creatures from some remote galaxy named Eira, are a militant, religious and highly expansive society. While actually outstanding fighters, their focus on personal glory makes them rather poor strategist. Further they are, even when they try, lousy diplomats, due to judging people by their religion and lack of feathers. Appearance: Their bodies are droplet-shaped and covered with colourful feathers, except on their legs and arms. All of the limbs end in 3-fingered talons, with the front ones being as dextrous as human hands. Eirian faces are dominated by a large beak, similar to that of a terran parrot. Gender Differences: the most visible difference is the colour of their beaks: black for males, yellow for females. Colours/Markings: Eiris have a sand-coloured skin where it is visible, however their feathers can have literally any colour and pattern. I dare you.] Clothing: Eiris are too proud of their feather pattern to hide them, however will wear jewellery and/or armour on their arms and legs. Once an Eiran year, they go through a moulting, during which they tend to wrap themselves in colourful blankets. Weaponry/Magic: While their traditional weapon is the Yirrchiik, a Spear with a beak-shaped point [literally translation "Your Ancestors' Beak"]; they have adapted to use Laser guns and missile launchers as soon as they found out about their existance. Eiris are uncommonly fond of tanks and similar combat vehicles. They have, however, no magic abilities, no matter what their priests claim. Transport: Eiris Spaceships are designed to resemble birds, and usually heavily armed. They use a hyperspeed engine that allows a kind of teleportation or "Hyperspace Jumps", which are, however rather unprecise. While the systems ensure that the ship will not end up in a gravity well, like a star or planet, the exact landing point is nearly impossible to calculate when launching the jump.
Species Name: Liraninan Pluralization: Naming: No naming conventions. Average Adult Height: ~2m Lifespan: 70 - 90 (Earth-)years Description: The liranian race, hailing from the oceanic planet callahdhan, have evolved from a kind of semi-aquatic Reptiles. Their culture revolves around the philosophy of 'rememberance', stating that most things about the universe has been known at some point, and this knowledge only has to be re-discovered. Appearance: Liranians are a race of humanoid reptiles, around 5“ to 7“ tall and of a lanky, stringy build. Their Bodies are covered in fine scales, usually in dull, dark colours, brown and olive being most common. Liranians have webbed hands and feet, and a finned tail. Their faces have a quite intimidating look, due to their reflective, yellow or green eyes and mawfull of pointy teeth. Gender Differences: Male Liranians have markings in unusually bright colours, often red, orange, or cyan, which females lack. Colours/Markings: base colours are usually dark, like brown, olive or marroon, but some do posses other colours, such as deep purple or navy. Males have bright markings, the patterns of which depend on clan and upbringing, while females have either no markings, or stripes reaching along their bodies, from the corner of their eyes to the tip of their tails. Clothing:Liranian clothes are usually form-fitting and practical, often held tight to the body with belts and straps. Weaponry/Magic: Liranian troopers are usually equipped with strong, mid-caliber firearms. Energy Weapons, like Lasers, are extremely rare, as the humid, foggy athmosphere of callahdhan leaves them with an impractically short range. Transport: Liranian ships are versatile, mid-sized vessels. They seem to prefer a triangular structure, and are armed with missile batteries and rail cannons. Species Name: Zazz Pluralization: one Zazz, many Zazzen Naming: Zazzian names appear to be composite words. the higher an individuals rank, the longer the name is. Average Adult Height: Zazzean are/were rather long than high, due totheir multiple legs. Lifespan: unknown Description: The insectoid Zazzen have, at some point in history, been the dominating race of their galaxy. Their home planet was Khan'Zazz, a neighbouring world to callahdhan. They have, however, since disappeared, and only ruins and articfacts can be found of them. Appearance: Zazzen are/were an insectiod race. They had long, thin bodies with a total of 8 limbs, tow of which ended in hands. Their heads sported a set of 4 eyes, long antennae and visible mandibula, not unlike those of a locust. Gender Differences: Female Zazz have gossamer wings growing from their backs, while males have a stinger growing from their abdomen. Colours/Markings: Generally, Zazz had black or deep red carpaces. Clothing: Zazz are often depicted wearing web-like sashes and wraps around their bodies. Weaponry/Magic: It appears that the main zazzian weapon was a kind of crystal-tipped staff. it is possible that they used magic instead of technologic weapons. Transport: Actually unknown. It is theorized that they launched unmanned probes equipped with a teleporter system, and used those teleporters/displacers to travel between planets. |
