I'm more surprised that DoDo won it the way he did. "I had them anyway" K. |

Hm. Donovan's thread in the camp about taking a group poll to select the format is very interesting. His strategy about wanting to keep the rounds where those with challenges don't have as much power is a good idea but I really think that he might be taking a big step and putting too much power on his back at this point right now. It is going to get around that it was his idea. Of course getting a HII that I am sure Hexa will tell not a soul about will certainly not hurt him in the slightest. |

When I saw that thread, titled "Folks" I knew exactly what it was going to be. The thing is, it is a smart idea, not like Squall's "idea" in Dissidia  But people may start to worry that there's more than he's cracked up to be if he is able to come up with some big idea like this. |

Oh I had a feeling as well, he told me earlier that he wanted to try to change it before the round started but was not home early enough! He also mentioned that he'd rather have survivor rounds to the end of the game. lol what I assumed that he'd rather have rounds where you can fight for your life twice towards the end. I mean, Hexa is no slouch in challenges. |

Yeah, that tribe is going to heat up. People are worrying about Stefan, people are thinking this whole bit by DoDo is a big power grab, etc. What's their recourse though? Would they switch the format back to Survivor and still burn those rounds early? |

I'm actually really hoping that someone gets and uses an RFC before the merge. Something like that would really keep these people on their toes. The whole "I'll wait til the last minute to change the format" bit is kind of lame, but it's expected since it is done publicly. This is similar to what happened in THG where people wouldn't choose their formats until 5 minutes before the challenge most of the time. I understand why they wouldn't because people would want to make sure their FC is the one that works, but they shouldn't be so afraid to do it, since they have 3+ already. I don't know. Zzy's in an interesting spot, but I feel like if it comes down to it and it's something like Survivor (I think someone talked about making sure it would be Survivor among the Vacationers), she'll side with the original alliance. Maybe if Quin is the target she might consider the other side, but if they are going for Kendall, Farah, or Rico, I can't see her going along with that. I'm actually hoping for something like Conga Line or BB here just to royally mess up plans if the wrong person wins power. Marquon will probably do well in my rankings for this round because at least he's identified that alliance of 6 and wants to make a counter-alliance. The funny thing about that alliance is that Preston was running around "lying" that those 6 were together. For all I know, it could have been he who basically formed the alliance that he wasn't even part of, considering how half the people didn't realize they were in it. These games have a funny way about perception becoming reality though. With the Staff, it's far less clear. Doug is one odd bird. He's brushing off getting 3 votes, and he's right about the fact that one of them is gone, but I'm not sure if the assumptions are right about who the others were. Far too many people are getting under each other's skin. Stefan is losing his luster, DoDo is suspect, Stacey is catching heat for trying to push Doug last night, Doug is Doug, Oskar is a weirdo, Trey is certainly not universally liked, Ivanka (or Elektra?) is catching heat because she's randomly being advocated for, Clara has been loved or hated by people. That really leaves just Beata and Lady Vi. If the pre-merge were longer, I would think those would be the safest two from all angles for a while. Beata needs to be careful because she has this mind where she doesn't want to be a dud or something, but she can easily throw away her good spot here if she tries something too early. |

Zzy's excellent playing <3 I think I'm rooting for her and Kendall the most over on the vacationers side. I'm so disappointed that Preston is apparently being a lying dick to everyone and will probably be booted tonight. I loved Merely so much in BW7 and was hoping he'd bring his charm here too but that isn't working :/ |

Over on Staffers I'm super excited about them doing BB, I wonder what will happen if Beata/Elektra win HOH. Beata probably does want to pull the trigger on the SDD trio but she doesn't think she has the numbers for it. Plus I'm not sure if YDT has the challenge skills to go up against Hexa/Chip. This game is splendid <3 |

Preston is so awful. But still, it's kind of hilarious in a trainwreck way. I don't know if he's purposely trying to torpedo his game or what. It's just so strange. Everyone has basically been on to him since before round 1 and now I don't think there's a single person that doesn't hate his guts. I don't want Preston to stay around long, but I would like to see them have to deal with him the next two days before round 3. But, I think it's probably going to be BB tonight? If that's the case, hell no I don't want Preston being HoH. Winning veto would work, I guess. |

After round 2: 22. Carl - He goes last by default because I just can't think of anything that's going on with this guy. He's said stuff before about "inactives" and all this stuff, but his strongest connection right now seems to be this rando alliance. 21. Stacey - I can't with this font anymore. It maybe might be worth it if the board posts were worth reading, but they usually are not. I'm not too sure why she was so antsy about getting Doug in round 1 when some people really seemed against it, but it's painted herself in a way that she'd probably not like. With people worried about Stefan and DoDo for same reasons (even though they're wrong), they'd probably end up rather having those two around for challenge strength come the merge anyway. 20. Glen - Kind of like Carl, except maybe I laughed at some remark he made one time? I don't know. They probably should have been back to back. 19. 18. Madison - Whatever. Getting tired of her. I don't think she was really around this past round and when she did, she was just being awful. She could have taken the whole round off and probably done better. 17. Oskar - I don't know. Did he do anything this round? Besides finding out he was being one of the main targets and all, I don't know. For the gameplay-lite player, at least don't let the "character" slip. 16. Clara - I don't even know with her antics, but I think she's probably in an ok spot. Doug going means they'll probably just pick off Oskar next, which probably shouldn't be too tough. After that though, I don't know, since the idiot vacationers will probably push for it to remain Survivor again, making the last pre-merge round... "something else". 15. Trey - Yeah, they could be looking at booting him in round 4, but I don't think it's going to be that simple. If I had to guess they would have some sort of Arena for that round. 14. 13. Elektra - Is she the one that will apparently do whatever Stefan says? 12. Ivanka - Or is it her? The difference here I guess is that Ivanka is definitely perceived as being in the core of that alliance, while Elektra is someone that will probably vote with them and be safe til the merge, but could get cut loose if something happens in a CL/MO/LS round. 11. Quinlan - This is interesting. He thinks he's in the swing spot over there even though he's not. I suppose it depends on where Rico is as well, since some kind of brush him off when mentioning the alliance of 6. Quinlan wants to play both sides. The problem is, I think both sides could probably agree to just booting his ass. 10. Beata - Well, she didn't make her move there, and it would have been stupid to though. I don't know about her vote parchment thing. I mean, why would people like Elektra or Ivanka or Clara give two shits about that at this point when the two that "told her to vote Doug" aren't going to be targeting them anyway? I've seen people pull this stunt in games before and hell, half the time people lie and put up a different person, so I think people are going to take this with a grain of salt. 9. Ellie - She's not out of the woods yet, but right now I could rattle off 3 guys on her tribe that I can see coming up as targets before her. I think the merge will be good for her though, because she shouldn't be a main target but not a total outsider that her own side would just dump. 8. Kendall - Not really much from her this round. I'm actually surprised that more people haven't ID'd her yet (I'm not going to count someone saying "I guess this is probably what MP is like?") with a few of the hints that have been strewn about. I'm not even sure. I think someone was saying they'd want her out soon? Random. 7. Farah - I know she's confessed a bunch and seems to have this alliance locked up, at least between Madison, Kendall, her, Zzy, and Quinlan. Where that leaves Rico is anybody's guess. Oh, a challenge win is a nice thing too. I'll be interested to see how things go with DoDo. I probably should have asked the two of them last round how much they told about the goings on in there. 6. Rico - Rico's a strange one. I saw that PM chain with Ellie and it was ridiculously random. I think he's in more danger sooner than later, but again, the pre-merge doesn't last a very long time and there are several other people that would likely be in trouble before him. Plus, considering who is likely to win power on this tribe, he probably should have no worries. 5. Marquon - This was a good round for Marquon. Not only is this on the heels of his challenge win, but he's starting to get things going with these outcasts on the tribe. in addition to that, he's got the other people possibly trying to find a place for him in that core. Big improvement from where he was about 30 hours ago. The reactions in DoDo's confessional about him were kind of hilarious. 4. Stefan the Magnificent - Not the best round for him, but it still was good. I don't think he's going to catch much heat for that Beata stunt nor for being part of the Doug movement in round 1. The one thing that he may catch heat for is for lying and then coming clean and looking shitty about that. I don't know what he expected to gain from that. Not revealing who he would have voted for is that big a deal? 3. Dr. Donovan - Another challenge, another win. Another win, another immunity thing. What the fuck is it with this guy and these items? He basically hit the gold mine in Versus with those I think. I know he got a 2nd idol from the item grid and I think he also got a one-round immunity there as well. Fucking asshole. 2. Lady Vidalia - I don't think there's someone out there with a negative thing to say about her. She seems to either avoid being brought into the conversation or stays on positive terms in things. This is just so much better than the last game. Oh boy. I'm assuming Vi will have to miss some challenges, but at least she's making up for it with the time that she can afford to be here. 1. Zzy - What a star this round. From ending up in a swing vote position, even it was unintentional, to talking about coordinating parchments for Preston  She's got a very good thing going and has a solid connection to both sides. The difference between her and someone like Stefan, is that people aren't so on to her as they have been with him. I guess it helps that several people flat out do not talk to each other on this tribe, and if some do, it's just random drivel. |
