..because I'm fairly certain it is now since the Farah boot? I will not pretend I loved Farah, or Kendall before her, since I've been too busy workwise to get into this properly till now. It's worth mentioning that Doug's overplaying & the framing of Trey amuse me most from the early rounds before I push ahead. Now that I am here, I've managed to catch right up on where I reckon all the current players are at. Let's see then; *** Beata is such an earnest player. She wants so badly to do the right thing, or at least do the thing that sees Stefan & the Doctor get their come-uppance. But idk if she is making the right move at the right time - now or earlier. Keeping her council against the Doc earlier (& lol at that vote) in the game has kept her alive this long for sure - yet at the expense of what could have been now the controlling staff alliance. :/ She's on very thin ice right now, and it's purely down to her own doings. She's not been mooted as a target for a few rounds yet (and even then it's from the staff side) so she may slide out of this yet. I might add I totally love her peppering of Spanito/Mexicano into her posts aswell. That's the kind of schtick that would make me look forward to her PMs. *** Well thanks be Carl finally decided to make a move. Unfortunately it was possibly a very poor one :/ He has possibly bought himself a few more rounds but I'm not sure what else. Mind you his stated aim was to buy a few more rounds to really stir some shit up so mission accomplished  *** Clara - See Ivanka only with an actually noticable schtick. I'm a little disappointed tbh, she was so good the last time I saw her play. She's in a solid position at least, and she has got the strategical skills to pull it out later if required. I don't know if she will though. I forsee a sudden blindside before she realises she needs to turn them on. *** Dr. Donovan I hate his stupid face and every time he posts 'HAHA!', it irks the fuck out of me. Extremely successful schtick so, GJ! He is owning the fuck out of this game (and in a completely different sort of way than Morrigan too - bonus points for variety). Yes, he's had some extreme luck with the items he landed and the power of them, but they could easily have been wasted with a lesser player, or maybe they would have bitten the dust when targeted back in the first few rounds. I think the obvious fear for him is that whenever a power shift eventually occurs, he'll be first against the wall. Even his own allies are pondering exactly when he needs to be gone by. He's embracing his enviable challenge skills though, so that could be his saving grace so long as he can keep control for the next couple of rounds. *** I do seem to have tuned in just in time to see Elektra start rising up the ranks. The merge has been better for her more than anyone maybe? At this point she is undeniably tied to Beata though, whose sloppiness may just cost the pair of them depending which route they go down in the next few rounds. She is certainly the shrewder player of the two, so that *might* buy her a round's grace to refind her footing if their cookie crumbles. *** I always love to see Ellie play, and to watch her tone it up from her usual UTRish ways is refreshing & new. She is rightfully worried that she is a target but if anyone can get out of of being the back-up target, Ellie can. "Socially driven with just a smidgen of strategy" said Zzy. That's a spot-on assessment and should hopefully see her go far. It's a little tragic that her undoing may just be her undying love for her husband, who sees whatever they have as secondary to her link to the girls. ;_; *** I'm finding it hard to get behind Glen at all. His soon-to-be flip will give more power to those already in control and I'd rather see the back of him over some of the others. I can't take away from him that's he playing his position very well for his own interests right now, it just seems a little shortsighted. Strangely I don't hold this potential move against any of Rico, Carl or Quinlan though :/ idek why? *** Ivanka - outlier to the core three staffers and not going to be a target anytime soon. She will go a little further at least but I'm just not excited. She is quite aware of her position and allowing (encouraging?) the Doc & Stefan to pop their heads above the parapet as much as possible. Solid play but not grabbing my eye at all. *** Oskar I love his schtick. I love that he has the dedication to go full retard at the expense of having any shot at winning even if he somehow goats his way to the end, but there is not much else to say here. *** Quinlan has kind of lucked into a good position despite himself I think? A round or two back he could easily have been fodder, but since the merge he has pulled a fantastic bond to Stefan out of the Blue. He has the three men having his back even if he is a little out of that loop too. People have stated he is socially awkward, but he is still making the right moves with the right people to ensure his own game lasts a lot longer - all the while not coming across as self serving as Glen/Rico, as clumsily as Carl/Beata, as threatening as Doc/Stefan/Ellie/Zzy, or as obnoxious as Clara/Oskar. idk what it is exactly but it's damn good buffer play. I think I'd need to share some PMs with him to decide if I loved or hated him in-game. *** Having recently watched Rico win a game another very Gnarl-ish schtick, I absolutely appreciate his playstyle x100. I do wish he would give us a smidgen more strategy in his confessional though. The bits he teases with alongside other player's info point to a very solid game being played. *** Stacey is just being amazing right now. Of the power trio she is both the least threatening & the best connected to the other two. She's nobody's target. She has got options open all over the place and considering exactly how to win this game rather than just vaguely trying to get to the end. I hope she comes to the right conclusions from her pondering, and doesn't just go out in a blaze of lovehearts & dedication to her men. Thanks be to fuck the neon green font is gone aswell  *** Stefan the Magnificent has so far been magnificent indeed, barring a few questionable (at least to his allies) decisions. He is the most connected player in the game right now, and pulling a shitload of strings.. but I fear it's only a matter of time before it either catches up with him; he becomes the back-up boot when the doc is immune (again); or he is directly targeted for being too social. He has a loose plan outined to keep the Doctor around as a shield, then to cut him at F6 or 5 or so. But at that point, who is going to want to take out the jerk that half the Jury dislikes over the charmer that both tribes love to death? It's unlikely to even get to that what with the huge target the Doc carries, but still. Don't get me wrong, he is playing so well that he has plenty of other options. But he's gonna need the Doc taken out & soon, so he can actually capitalise on them. *** I fear I have missed seeing the best of Zzy at this point and I won't even get the chance to enjoy her :/ Her earlier confessionals look amazing and I love a HBIC who is willing to wear it on her sleeve. idk how the fuck she'll pull it off but there's a fix to all this within all those flippers & formats somewhere. *** *** *** Hmm. :/ Barring a few exceptions, the players who I find myself rooting for on both sides are all the ones in most danger. And the ones I wouldn't mind seeing the back of are pretty set to last quite a while yet. I tend to do rankdowns mostly on entertainment value, and I find a good trainwreck as entertaining as a a skilled strategist, so the results may seem a little arbitrary; 14. Glen 13. Ivanka 12. Oskar 11. Carl 10. Clara 9. Zzy 8. The Good Doctor 7. Rico 6. Ellie 5. Electra 4. Stefan 3. Quinlan 2. Beata 1. Stacey - idk if I emphasized how much I like Blue's game right now. I didn't know he could play this well. |

That whole thing was like so weirdly unreadable. What do people do on that island? You had *** breaks in the middle of people and them again between people? Nah, I'm kinda kidding, and will read it all, but ew. |
