(For Greg and Adri) It was a rather nice night out in the forest around the castle. The moon was bright out and in the middle of a clearing would be a incredibly unusual sight. It looked like a young woman but not a normal one. Her skin and hair were strange colors and there was a horn sticking out of her forehead. Her arms were covered in a metallic sheen and had wings attached to the bottom of it. Whoever she was it was rather obvious that she was not human. And the thing about her was that she was starting to wake up. She slowly got into a sitting position and still seemed a bit out of it as she looked around. There was still enough light to see around her. "Where...Am I?" She asked mostly to herself. Edited by Sorin, Sep 15 2013, 01:53 PM.

Even now, the woman thought this to be quite the peculiar place. While very familiar with forests, there seemed to be a different air about this one compared to what she knew of her own home. Not that she was particularly confused. She had been here long enough to find herself somewhat familiar with these lands. Indeed, this woman had come to quickly accept the thought of being whisked away from her lands no sooner after her death. Akemi Jing the Spirit Weaver, or Akemi for short, walked through the forest as if she were still walking the streets of the Imperial City. She heard of travelers appearing here, thought to meet them in order to leave and find new places to explore. Though she knew nothing of these unknown lands, the thought of visiting them was quite a thrilling idea. New cities, new people to meet, men to draw in, cultures to embrace. And of course, new people in need of her "help." Yes, this was all very exciting for her and the Fox Spirit within her. Unexpectedly, the chance came sooner than she thought. Coming across a clearing, Akemi found the strange horned and winged woman, who looked to be confused to where she was. Perhaps she was one of the people she had heard of, one of those who were unexpectedly pulled out of her lands and into these new ones. Intrigued, the woman made herself known and approached, looking down at the strange girl. "Quite an unusual spot to take a nap, even for a demon such as yourself, wouldn't you say?" Though she was unaware that the girl had yet to discover her new appearance, it wasn't like Akemi would care about the response one way or another anyway. ------------------ (post by Gregzilla, put up with his permission) A third traveler was making the way through the forest. In this case, however, the traveler was a male. He was a ways off, hearing the commotion, or what there was of a commotion, nearby. Ethereal wings summoned, the young man flew toward the source of the talk about "demons." Naito Zivaku stopped at last, landing on the ground on his feet, wings still out, blonde hair still shaking a bit, still somewhat messy, but not on a chase anymore. He stayed nearby, walking toward the sound... and stared a bit at them. First, at the "demoness", then at the extremely scantily clad woman. It took him a moment to get to his senses, but he did so, though embarrassed to be around the latter, and nervous of the former. "Um... ma'am, I don't know if speaking that way is in anyone's best interest. Even if she is a demon, I don't know if it's best to call her one so bluntly. It's rather rude for an introduction." He paused for a moment, then looked away, to this "demoness", then back to the other woman. "I apologize, I didn't introduce myself either. I'm Naito Zivaku. Um... what are you two doing here, misses? I'm just... kind of starting out myself." Edited by Adri, Apr 1 2014, 03:19 PM.

The winged girl jumped at the sound of a female voice. She turned and looked and couldn't help but stare for a second due to the woman's outfit. She didn't have time to process the woman's words as a second arrival popped literally flew in. She wished she could run and hide but she was just too confused at to what was going on. It didn't seem like she was kidnapped since why would she be out in some clearing in the middle of a forest. And then there was the question of why these two were calling her a demon. She was a human. "Wh-What are y-you talking about?" She finally spoke up, not able to keep from stuttering. "I-I'm not a demon. Wh-Why would you even think that?" She still hadn't noticed the changes to her body as she was still in shock from the whole situation. |

Akemi did almost have to smirk when the demon girl stared at her for a bit. This was the reason she chose to look like this after all. But when the third traveler, a young man, came into the clearing, she became even more interested, taking the time to study him while he stared. From his demeanor, he seemed like a nice young man, the kind she could pull the strings around with if she wanted to. But that'll come later. "I suppose you are right," she said with a sigh. "Demons are quite common where I am from, and it was the first thing that came to mind." To his introduction, she introduced herself in turn, "Akemi Jing the Spirit Weaver. I, too, am 'starting out' like you say, though I did not have much of a choice." When the girl finally spoke up, Akemi almost had to sigh again. Did she simply not notice her skin or the horn on her head. Still, rather than be blunt about it, she went for a somewhat more gentle approach. "I do not know where you're from, but perhaps something happened when you wound up here. You must have changed somehow and you have yet to notice." Edited by Adri, Sep 15 2013, 05:50 PM.

Naito nodded slightly, taking into account the comments from this woman. He looked over at the "not-demoness" and sighed sadly. He didn't want to upset her, but it was best to just tell her what happened. "Miss, I'm really sorry, but... you have wings, and a horn on your head." He held out a hand, touching first the horn, then brushing against the wings. "Please try to stay calm. It's all going to be okay. I'll talk to you. I'm Naito. Naito Zivaku." |

Yuki's eyes widened as she slowly started to realize that she had changed. Her arms covered in some metallic sheen with wings coming out of them. She could see from her legs that her skin was a different color and she could feel the horn on her head. She started to breath heavier. It would take several seconds for her to get her breathing under control. There was no way this should be possible. The last thing she remembered was checking out the tv in the dorm room she shared with her sister. "Wh-What is going on? H-How did I-I get here? Wh-Why d-did this happen to me?" Yuki tried to ask. She was doing all she could not to just go into a full panic. But in the back of her mind was telling her that it was fine. That of all things, she should be happy that she was changed now that she could finally stand out. |

Akemi had to sigh when Yuki started to panic a little about her appearance. Truthfully, she had no idea how to respond; it wasn't like she really knew what was going on. Whatever was going on with this girl, she would most likely get used to it over time. With that, she decided to ignore her for the time being, instead turning to Naito. With a smile, she walked closer to him, leaning slightly in a way that would give him a good view. "So then, where do you come from, Naito?" she asked, a hint of a seductive tone laced in her voice. "You seem to be the most knowledgeable among us. Perhaps you know why these things are happening to us, why we are displaced in these unknown lands?" |

Though he did find it a little difficult to communicate with the avian woman, Naito did not express his frustration at not knowing her name. Instead, he seemed to focus on this Akemi. Just as was likely according to plan, he had trouble focusing, and thus, had trouble resisting her words. Unlike his brothers, he was not very good at resisting a good looking body, at least mentally. Blushing, the Moon Tribesman nodded slightly, mumbling under his breath. "Um... r-right. Well... I came from Aselia... or that's where my spirit came from, when it was sheared from Martel.... it's hard to explain, I apologize. But my body... I'm from Nippon, the Celestial Plain... My people... well, we call ourselves the Moon Tribesmen... though we haven't been to the moon in a long time. I never did find all of the details on why." Assembling what he could of his wits, he pressed on. "It... appears to be some kind of... erm... some kind of multiversal disturbance, like a break in reality, a ripple in it that meshed different worlds together. It's why I exist. Why my brothers do too..." On that note, he seemed to get an idea, and looked to the avian woman. "Hey... Do you have a sibling, someone else who might be in tune with this, be maybe better adapted, or otherwise able to help you deal with it?" He had no idea that she had exactly that, but it was one of the worst things to say. However, around when the woman may have answered, a series of puffs of smoke erupted around them. Deposited were several Heartless: several Shadows, three Soldiers, and a Large Body, all of which seemed ready to attack. Naito, drawing his own personal weapons, took a fighting stance. He had seen these once before, though he did not know what they were. From when he had landed. "We have to fight these things off, then we can talk." And, running forward with a swing of his wakizashi into one Shadow, and a bash of his morningstar into another, that is precisely what he began to do. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yuki didn't really mind that Akemi and Naito ignoring her for the moment. She could take the time to figure out just what is going on with her. Though she did listen in on what Naito was saying. It was crazy to listen to but considering her situation Yuki had no choice but to accept it as the truth. But things would change as Naito put his attention back on her. At the mention of any siblings Yuki might have, she frowned. Especially when Naito talked about if they might be better adapted to such things. Of course Rikka would be able to adapt to this kind of thing easily. Nothing ever seems to bother Rikka. And not only that but he was asking her to go to Rikka like Yuki always did when there was a problem. Because Yuki could never be able to handle anything by herself. She had to get Rikka come and take care of it for her. As if things weren't bad the Heartless appeared. Yuki suddenly got to her feet and her entire demeanor had changed. She was glaring at the Heartless and seemed to be carrying herself much more confidently than she was before. "All of you." Yuki said softly as she lifted one of her arms. "Just disappear!" With a wave of her arm several large icicles appeared around Yuki but the ice they were made of was black. With another wave of her arm they fly out and impaled themselves into one of the Soldiers. Yuki wasn't finished as she kept sending icicle after icicle even after the Heartless had vanished. Unfortunately what was in the path was a Large Body and Naito. Although Akemi smirked at Naito's reaction, indeed finding the right one with him, she did have to listen to what he had to say. So his spirit was of another. While it seemed different from her case with the Fox Spirit, it did interest her. And he has brothers like them as well. It was good to know there were others she could have fun with if she ever found them. "Hm...that would explain a lot of things, actually," she said in response to the explanation of why things were like this. "I'm from a place called the Jade Empire. However, when I awoke, I found myself in these mysterious lands instead." She didn't explain the details of her death before then. "Not that I mind. Things were beginning to get worse back there, anyway." And then the Heartless appeared. Though Akemi had never seen creatures like this, it didn't mean anything to her, as she knew she could probably take them down. What brought her to sigh in annoyance, however, was that she would have to battle in her current clothing in choice. It reminded her to look for something more suitable for battle. Oh well, she may as well make do with what she had. Getting into her martial stance, she took notice of the girl's sudden change in demeanor. Well, looks like she wasn't as shy as she seemed to be. However, the way she continued to send black icicles, one headed straight for Naito, showed how unstable she really was. The martial artist backflipped her way towards the Moon Tribesman, pulling him out of the icicles' path. In doing so, she caught the attention of the Large Body, even after it was hit by the girl's icicles. She stood still while the Heartless began to charge, belly first at her. And then she leapt over it, positioning her hands over its head for better leverage. Landing behind the Large Body, she dished out two powerful hand strikes and a final kick at its back. The blows caused it to disperse, a crystalline heart floating away. However, a Soldier jumped at her right after, attempting to lash out with its claws. Akemi was quick, however, leaping to the air and coming back down with a downwards kick. She gave another, roundhouse, knocking it right off its feet. ----- Though he was hit by one of the ice shards, Naito was shocked by how quickly Akemi moved, saving him from more damage. Though he was cut on an arm, it wasn't serious, simply distracting. Regardless, he managed to get his senses for the most part when he saw the Soldiers being thrown. A stab of Tsuki took the standing one straight out of the air as it launched into a jumping attack, pushing it up before a spin of the sword kept it there, followed by a final horizontal slash that caused it to dissipate. The other one, far more damaged, did get up, but Naito had more pressing concerns. Spinning on his heels, he took a Shadow to the face with his Máni. Following up from the Shadow, which staggered back before ducking into the ground, he raised a hand, tossing Máni into the air momentarily. A blast of silver energy, his Moonbeam, took the one behind it directly in the chest, sending it flying until it dissipated as well. Catching the morningstar, he gasped as he was hit from behind by the descended Shadow as it rose up again, but quickly cut it in half with the Tsuki wakizashi. The Soldier seemed ready to attack again, charging at Akemi now...but it appeared that the ice blasts, still in motion, had destroyed it as well, causing it to puff out as well. Hopefully, the ice woman was okay, but the fight itself was over. Edited by Adri, Apr 1 2014, 03:25 PM.

With the fight finished Yuki seemed to have calmed down. She was bent over slightly and breathing heavy. It was the first time that she had ever did something like that before and it was taking its toll on her. Yuki wasn't sure if she could run and right now she really wished that she could. She had hurt Naito when she attacked the Heartless. She just couldn't control herself. She just wanted to see them gone and with how angry she felt when she thought about Rikka, Yuki just completely lost control of herself. "I-I'm s-so sorry..." Yuki said as she bowed slightly at Naito. "I-I-I just couldn't control m-myself...I-I didn't mean t-to hurt you." Yuki couldn't even look at him right now. |

All Akemi did when the battle ended was fix her hair, none too bothered in the slightest. It was only another of many fights to come, none too uncommon from her world. The only thing she wished for was more of a challenge from those strange shadow creatures. Oh well. Looking to Yuki, she did have to frown. Whatever power she held, she couldn't seem to control, the complete opposite of herself. While it was hard for her to understand, she did have to pity the girl somewhat. Sadly, this was one issue she couldn't attempt to solve in her way. With that, she turned to Naito once more, keeping up her charms on this young man. She moved in close once more, now placing a hand on his shoulder. "Naito, perhaps you could be a dear and help two utterly helpless women to however you came here? It doesn't seem we have a way to travel to these worlds like you could, so it would help greatly if you could take us to somewhere that may help us." For good measure, she flashed a smile to the Moon Tribesman to get the point across. ----- Naito looked to the ice woman, and sighed. "Look, I understand. Sometimes it's hard to control, right? It hurt, I won't lie, but just try training at it." As it so happened, Akemi didn't even need to make those remarks. Naito was assuming he would have to take them anyway. "I... I was going to offer anyway. You two don't seem to have transportation of your own, so I can give you a ride to Radiant Garden." A pause. "...that phrasing went horribly wrong somewhere." The man just blushed, looking to the two of them, and motioning to a nearby save point, a glint of light on the ground. "Are you strong enough to carry her?" He looked to Akemi. "If she can't walk on her own right now. I'll set up the ship to pick us up, but we need to get over to that light. It's called a Save Point." That said, he walked over, standing on it. The entire thing rose up, creating a cylinder of lights. "When you bring her, I'll send us up. If you need anything else, please ask." Finally, he looked to the unnamed cryomancer. "...and what's your name, ma'am?" Edited by Adri, Sep 20 2013, 09:00 PM.

Yuki blushed a bit as she still couldn't face Naito. It wasn't that she just lost control of her powers. It was that she lost complete control of herself and was rather willing to attack anything that made her mad. She wasn't going to actually say this though. It was bad enough already and there is no need to make it worse. Still Naito was willing to give her and this Akemi a ride off this world and since Yuki had no other way she had to take it. The Save Point thing was rather interesting as Yuki didn't think it would exist in the actual worlds and would just be part of the game. "I-I can walk." Yuki said as she walked over to the Save Point next to Naito. She blushed again as she realized she never said her name. "Y-Yuki...M-My name is Yuki Masami." |

Akemi did have to smirk at Naito's phrasing. Men like him were always so easy; she almost had to wonder if his brothers would be the same way. She said nothing about this, just stepping into the light known as a "Save Point" (quite an odd term to use, she had to say). "Thank you again for the help, Naito. It's very sweet of you." It was the last comment she would make towards him. He was a nice boy, but she wouldn't use him any other way for the time being. Instead, she looked to Yuki after she finally introduced herself. "It's good to meet you, Yuki," she said politely. "If you ever need help on self-control, you could always ask me if you like. It wouldn't do any good to lose it when you're on your own." And with that, the new travelers beamed away from the world, off to see new places. Edited by Adri, Sep 24 2013, 03:40 PM.
